This is the first episode of The Rustbelt Outdoors adventures. This series will be recounts of mine and MaryEllen's adventures together. In this episode we tell the story of our third date. A kayaking trip across the Allegheny Reservoir and camping overnight. There is some drama and adventure and even some romance in this.

On this episode of lessons from pop we here from myself, my father Dave Foulds and Mark Hutchinson. All three lessons are valuable the first two focusing on deer hunting and the last one is more of a general lesson that can be applied to life.
