This week I'm chatting with Dylan Tomine again. We talk all about his new book "Headwaters: The Adventures, Obsession, and Evolution of a Fly Fisherman," carp, the balance of conservation and entertainment, helicopters and hypocrisy, moments of grace, dinosaur gizzards, and the grueling world of audio book narration.

This week I'm talking to Brian Niska, of Skeena Spey Riverside Wilderness and Lodge. We talk about his start to fishing, combining American and Scandinavian styles, casterbation, chinook of the Skeena, whiffle golf, a positive outlook for steelhead, the history of the lodge, cycles of anticipation, and the best time to fish.

This week I'm talking with Larry Halyk. We get right into it with his life long interest in fishing, turkeys, biology, dam removal, starting spey, the Grand River, the advantages of dual citizenship, and language barriers.

Conrad Gowell is joining me this week and we had an excellent talk. We discussed DIY flys, the massive ecological effect of dams, woodcuts, snorkeling, the language of fishing culture, fish trap systems, and reasonable demands of Santa.
