053: Larian keeps on winning, Playstation lays off 900 employees, and Xbox's business plans 28.02.2024

Larian won several more awards at the Dice Awards recently. More rounds of layoffs have hit several more studios, including Playstation, Xbox had to put out fires and lay out their business plan, and Helldivers 2 has been a pretty big hit.

We're finally back with our first episode of the new year! Palworld released in early access and has taken over Steam with time played. Layoffs are already hitting the industry hard early in 2024 and is expected to continue for the year or more, GDQ just wrapped up, and we talk about the Xbox Developer Direct and look at the news that closed out 2023.

GTA VI is real! Unfortunately, Rockstar had their trailer leaked ahead of the debut. Sony is removing paid content from their libraries and accounts are getting suspended. Vampire Survivors got its adventure update and the third Sonic movie teased Shadow's appearance.

050: Destiny's expansion delay, Ubisoft in-game ads, and Sony's PS Store lawsuit 29.11.2023

Destiny's coming expansion, The Final Shape, was officially delayed until June. Ubisoft was experimented with in-game ads for paid games and Eminem is coming to Fortnite. Half-Life also turned 25!

049: Game Awards nominees, Legend of Zelda movie, and GTA VI! 15.11.2023

Call of Duty's newest entry barely has a campaign and Amazon went through another round of layoffs in their gaming division. The nominees for the Game Awards are out, GTA VI is getting a trailer in December, and we're getting a live-action Legend of Zelda movie?

048: Bungie hit by massive layoffs, Sony defends price hikes, and Xbox blocks third-party accessories. 01.11.2023

A new week, a new round of layoffs. This time, beloved studio, Bungie, earned the ire of the Destiny community after their layoffs started coming to light. Xbox is protecting their ecosystem by denying access to unauthorized accessories, Disney Dreamlight Valley devs switch from free-to-play to a paid game on release, and MK1 fans are upset about paid fatalities.
