Be At Peace, Always. 23.05.2025 12:42
Today I talked about the command of Jesus to not worry or be anxious. See Matthew 6:25-34. I'll leave it there. We need to keep the faith, keep studying, keep praying, and persevere until the end. We do this, and we will receive our reward. May the Peace of Christ remain with you always.
On this Rock! 01.05.2025 13:28
Matthew 16:13-20 Jesus meant every word he said to Peter as recorded in St. Matthew's Gospel. I think we should all be familiar with Matthew 16:13-20. The episode is direct and to the point and deserves further explanation, but you will have to start doing your own studying. These episod...
Everlasting Joy and Mercy 10.04.2025 6:44
I read from The Book of Sirach (Sirach 2:7-9) and Augustine's Confessions. Is Joy Possible in this life? I believe it is, but just because it is possible does not mean arriving there is easy. Perseverance in prayer is essential. What do you think, how can we arrive at everlasting Joy? Take Care - shoot me a message - theoldisnew12@gmail.com

The Wedding At Cana 18.02.2025 14:30
Hello my friends. I finally made time for another episode of The Old Is New. Today I read the miracle account at The wedding At Cana - John 2:1-12 There is so much to say about this miracle, I mentioned how the transformation of water into wine can represent a transformation from misery to Joy. I do believe that's a fitting comparison. Something I forgot to mention is that we could compare the...

P.R.A.Y. 27.10.2024 14:05
Greeting friends and family! Tonight I talked about Psalm 71: 1 - 3. I find it comforting because God really is our strong fortress: In you, O Lord, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame. In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me and save me. Be to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortress, to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. I also explained an acron...

Out of Egypt... 01.09.2024 35:06
Greetings friends. Tonight I talked about the similarities between Jesus, Mary, and Joseph fleeing to Egypt to escape Herod and the Hebrew people being liberated out of slavery from Egypt. Matthew 2:13-18 Hosea 11:1 You might want to reread how the Hebrew people ended up in Egypt in the first place around 4,000 years ago in Genesis Chapter 37-47. The Liberation from the slavery of Egypt is found...
Part 4 - The Ultimate Sacrifice in John's Gospel - The Resurrection 11.08.2024 41:37
Good day to you wherever you are. In Part 4 I comment on the Resurrection. The Passages are located in John chapter 20. I know for me I don't reflect on the resurrection nearly enough. We need to remember that good conquers evil, always. So keep strong, and remember our God. Peace be with you.

Part 1 - The Ultimate Sacrifice in Mark's Gospel 16.06.2024 32:32
Greetings friends and family. Today's show begins a series where I will read through the passion narrative of Jesus within the Gospel of Mark. Obviously, the sacrifice is recorded in all four of the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Look, and John. I chose to use Mark's gospel because I like its clarity and the vocabulary that the writer uses. You should become familiar with the messianic Psalm 22 and I...
Build On The Rock 30.05.2024 44:06
Build on the Rock, Jesus. Mainly, leaning into his teaching of the Love for God and his creation. Forgiveness and repentance are also an integral aspect of His teaching we need to fully comprehend and practice. I compared Matthew 7 with Matthew 16. The Wiseman who built his life on the Rock and Peter, who is the Rock and foundation of the whole Christian church. I don't think we should take Pe...
Do All Things... 19.05.2024 33:18
Today I spoke about the good of Ecclesiastes. Specifically the following passages; 3:13, 2:26, 12:13. This book is worth considering as it has much to say about how to attain happiness in the life we live. Almost like God's version of a self help book. I briefly consider a passage in the book of James about true Religion being simple. My new puppy tried to interrupt the broadcast so please do f...

If we take care to cooperate with God and nurture these fruits to full bloom we can be sure we are on a good path.
Worship Is Breath For The Soul 17.03.2024 39:03
Scripture Passages to consider on the topic of Worship: Psalm 43 Daniel 3:28-68 John 4:23-26 Worship and Praise are essential to practice in order to have a healthy spiritual life. It's not enough to just ask for requests and favors from God. We need to love God and praise Him simply because he is Holy and good. We can only benefit from this action of the heart and soul.
Jesus Lifted Up Is Our Healing 05.03.2024 22:26
I bring up the bronze serpent in the Old Testament - Numbers 21:5-9 And Jesus' reference to this event in John 3:15-15. Like the hebrews being healed by gazing at the bronze serpent, so is the world healed by gazing at Christ. Reflecting on the passion of Christ is actually the very place we find hope and meaning.
