Nate welcomes back Oneonta grad, Teddy McGraw to the podcast. Teddy plays D1 baseball at Wake Forest and just finished an exciting summer playing in the Cape Cod League. His team (the Brewster Whitecaps) won the league championship and Teddy was a key contributor on the pitchers mound. Hear about his summer on the Cape and how his first year at WF went.

Nate chats with Hancock alumna, Laycee Drake and Delaware Academy grad, Luke Branigan. Laycee tells us about her summer workouts in preparation for playing D1 basketball at UMBC in Baltimore. Luke discusses his senior year at DA where his teams went undefeated in football and basketball. Nate catches up with one of his good local media friends, Greg Klein. Greg is the Editor for The Freeman’s Journal, Hometown Oneonta and the All Otsego website. He tells us about his wild journey traveling the country working as an actor, a professional wrestler, a journalist and more. Greg settled in Cooperstown and is an avid Hawkeyes supporter. Nate chats with 2021 G-MU grad, Gavin Bonczkowski. He is heading to Wells College next year to play basketball and baseball. Gavin became the school record holder for 3-pointers in a career (198) at G-MU this past winter. He also finished 3rd on the Raiders all-time basketball scoring list with 1,208 points. The guys talk about sports, school musicals, Boy Scouts and much more. 

Nate catches up with Charlotte Valley grad, Todd Carrington. Todd is one of the best golfers in the area. They discuss the local golf scene and look back on his big victory in the 2018 Otsego County Atchinson Cup Tournament. Todd is a great storyteller and the celebration after his county championship is the stuff of legend.

Nate connects with 2019 Oxford grads, Brad and Allison Beckwith. These twins both attend the University of Rochester. Brad plays football and Allison is on the softball team. They were both dominant 3-sport athletes and well rounded students during their time at Oxford. Hear about their journey from small town life to college athletics. 

Nate travels to Clark Sports Center to talk with legendary Cooperstown coach, Frank Miosek and coach Matt Hazzard. Frank has been coaching locally for over 50 years, primarily at CCS and Cherry Valley. He has around 1,000 career wins across a variety of sports and levels. Matt helps with several teams at CCS and was recently named the head coach for the Herkimer CC Women's Basketball program.

Nate talks with Norwich alumna, Katie Gawronski. Katie is a 2020 grad who is now a member of the cross country and track and field programs at D1 Canisius College in Buffalo. Nate chats with recent Oneonta grad, Aidan Mackey. Aidan was a 2-sport standout for the Jackets playing soccer and basketball. He was a leader on defense for one of the best teams to ever come through the OHS soccer program. Aidan is an openly gay athlete and shares his thoughts and experiences about coming out.

Nate welcomes Andes alum, Stanley Andersen to the show. Stan played his high school soccer at South Kortright and is the Rams all-time leader in goals with 86. He also handed out 60 career assists. Stanley now plays at Castleton University in Vermont. Hear about his time at SK plus much more!

Nate sits down with Franklin Boys Basketball Coach, Skylar Thompson. Skylar has previous experience as an assistant coach for the Walton Football team and had a stellar athletic career at Oneonta High School. The guys talk about his experiences at FCS and also look back on his playing days with the Jackets.

Nate welcomes in retired G-MU coach and athletic director, Jim Johnson. Jim coached for 36 years with a majority of his time devoted to baseball and girls basketball. He has over 600 combined victories between the two sports. Jim's teams won several TVL titles and made seven total appearances in the Section IV championship game. 

Nate sits down with Sidney superstar athlete, Peyton Mosher. Peyton is a 3-sport standout for the Warriors. He is committed to play baseball next year at SUNY Cortland. He just had a fantastic spring football season at quarterback where he had 23 rushing touchdowns and 11 passing touchdowns. A great young man and role model!

Nate chats with Oxford standout athlete, Madalyn Barrows. Madalyn is a sophomore, 3-sport star for the Blackhawks. She is one of the best up-and-coming basketball players in the area. In her spare time she trains with her dog, Ty, to participate in dog agility competitions around the state.

They discuss the recent New York State championship meet hosted by the Journeymen Club in Pennsylvania. The guys go in-depth on how the locals placed in the tournament. They also look back at Tony’s career as a 2-time state champion during his time at Sidney High School.
