The Murphy Street Podcast has always been about collecting of all kinds, but since we’ve been doing so much Pokemon stuff lately, I decided to give Pokemon its own show. For today’s episode, I am lucky enough to have a lovely co-host Heather and together we rip some Pokemon packs for Piece of the Day! First we open 12 packs of the new Japanese set, Storm Emeralda where we get some hits. Then, just for fun, we open some Chaos Rising to see if we can add some chaos in our lives. And… well, let’s just say we get a hit there too! But immediately after that, we go into...

For today’s episode, I address two of the bigger IPs that I’ve been paying attention to and that’s the MCU and Star Wars. First off, Avengers Doomsday now has two trailers, so I mention some of the oddities that were piquing my interest with that. Some crazy group combinations and just some scenes, but ultimately, SO EXCITED to see this movie! And secondly, Ahsoka Season 2! I share some of the cha...

I’m going to start by apologizing. If you end up listening til the end, I get a little emotional. Actually, very emotional. Passionate is what I would say. And I just realized that I didn’t give the writers room their flowers for making me get that way because of the twist at the end. That was PEAK writing for them. But does that mean I enjoyed it? I’ll share with you my thoughts on the finale epi...

Tonight we covered the first episode of the new series, The Ninth Jedi! We also talked about why we chose Kara versus the Ronin and other Star Wars Visions shows. I also had to stop to say thank you and to share the news that the Murphy Street Podcast was ranked in the Top 100 Star Wars Podcasts in the US! So before I go any further I want to say thank you to all of you who continually tune in and...

After staying quiet last week for episodes 1-3, I wanted to make sure that we didn’t miss the completion of the Rise of Apocalypse! Because now the stage is set! We have all of the pieces in play. Maybe just an upgrade to go, and a surprise guest or two but our cast is HERE! Such a great show, so much fan service! So listen in as we go through all 4 episodes of one of the best watches on Disney+!...

For today’s episode we open with a PoTD unboxing of my Batman Beyond Batarang! This was a Ross find, and if you can find one of these at your local stores, BUY IT!!! But I also share with you some Amazon Day Deals that I think you should make sure to take advantage of. Then we move on to talk about XMen 97s new trailer and what to expect for the 7/1 release date. Lots to pour over for that. And la...

And another Westside Card Show is in the books and boy was it a doozie! We start this weeks podcast by talking about what an amazing weekend it was in Kapolei. With over 70+ vendors, and THOUSANDS of Pokemon enthusiasts descending upon the Kroc Center, we had a time! We got to see some amazing cards, watch some amazing deals and best of all, we got to do all of this while bringing the best out of...

While in Atlanta, with the crew filming the new Superman movie right outside my window, I talk to you about a great many things. I announce that I’ll be emceeing the West Side Card Show, which I’m really excited to be a part of! I tie up a loose end from last episode. Here’s a secret: it’s about Gambit! Then we go over the PoTD, which was the PS5 Wolverine game, before discussing Wemby geeking out...

After explaining how much I enjoy the brown and yellow, live action Wolverine Marvel Legends figure for Piece of The Day, we run full speed in to the breakdown of the XMen Season 2 trailer! So many good things! A lot of new faces, but not unfamiliar ones! And of not one, but two BIG BADS! But mainly, Apocalypse. There’s so much to go thru so we better get going on this episode of the Murphy Street...

Today we begin our trek of life after Maul Shadow Lord. But I let you down slowly by discussing something relating to Maul. Can you think of 5 Sith Lords that are stronger than Lord Maul? As we saw, Vader makes a strong bid for that list, but who else is next? Take a listen and see if any of the ones we talk about are the ones you guessed. I will say, at least one is probably NOT one that you woul...

The end is finally upon us! The last two chapters of Maul Shadow Lord dropped on May the 4th and MAN!!! What a way to kick off Star Wars day! We get to see the fight between, Maul, Daki and Devon versus the Inquisitors find a conclusion. And then… as if Dave was listening to my hopes and dreams (and those of the fan base) chapter 9 ended with the Dark Lord of the Sith himself! Chapter 10 is just a...

Happy May the 4th! Today, I get Bronson back and we celebrate May the 4th like only we can! We start off by unboxing and breaking into the Mando Meal from Burger King! It was A LOT! We both share a PoTD and I share about how you can win the one that I bought FOR FREE! Then we pour over an article from CBR that I’ve been waiting to jump into about WHY Maul Shadow Lord is done so much BETTER than th...

As we near the ending of this season of Maul Shadow Lord, you can’t help but wonder if these episodes might fall flat somewhere. Allow me to assure you… they did not! Our Piece of The Day was the Hot Tub Stormtrooper Lego Mini fig that was gifted me by my friend Ray! He’s a real one for that! As far as the chapters, Chapter 7 was an A and so was Chapter 8! To sum up, Maul and Rylee escape with Mau...

First off, I apologize. I had to go early because I couldn’t resist. I’m not sure if I can always drop them on Monday’s but Wednesdays were just getting too far away! So we dropped the episode today. Today’s Piece of The Day was the Black Series Savage Oppress! Brother of Darth Maul (I don’t think I said that in the episode. Probably should have. My miss🤦🏾‍♂️). But today’s convo talked about Cha...

Today’s episode opens up with a Piece of The Day FIRST! We talk about the Black Series figures for Maul Shadow Lord and what I think of them. Then we go straight in to my reactions to Chapters 3 and 4. I don’t want to give away too much, but I will say this… the action is ACTIONING! I also make another hasty prediction, that seems to be wrong once again… or was it? And we see so many impact points...

For today’s episode, the PoTD was a Labubu style, Dress Up Stitch, made by Top Toy! Then we go in to the two CHAPTERS of Maul Shadow Lord that dropped on Monday. If I’m being honest, I didn’t get enough Maul, but I did still enjoy it. So listen in and see if you agree or disagree with my takes and see if you got my Easter eggs and small homages in the episodes. And know that we’ll be here every we...

After many failed attempts at trying to bring you my candid reaction to the new Spiderman: Brand New Day Trailer that just dropped last week, I’ve resigned to just bringing you this breakdown. We talk about a ton of things that was embedded in this trailer. A bunch of hints, some call backs, some salutes and foreshadowing galore! Also, is that Jean Grey… or is that Typhoid Mary? WHAT?? Listen in a...

We had to get this episode out because Pokemon Day came and went. I wanted to make sure to just share about that. Most importantly though, since I didn’t have Bronson, I wanted to make sure to cover some of my observations for The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer. I’d been quite vocal about how disappointed I was at the SB60 spot, so I wanted to make sure that I covered the positive point as well. An...
