The Letters Page

WHO IS THIS: Show Notes: Run Time: 1:28:57 Not much banter as we have a lot to get into here... but definitely go watch Everything Ever All At Once. Christopher saw it when it came out and Adam just watched it in the last week and so now they can't stop talking to each other about it and have to actively restrain themselves from doing so on the air. (Christopher has been waiting for MONTHS for Ada...

A blast from the past! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:15:38 Adam and I have been looking forward to this story for a long time! Do we have a plan? Heck, no! But we have what we think is a cool hook. Can we deliver? You decide! Oh, this is the crowdfunding campaign that we talked about at the top of the show. It's going pretty dang well! We have fun with the story, and then we get into questions. Not a lo...

Good morning, Sentinels! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:27:06 It's another beautiful day here in Letters Page land! Adam and I hadn't recorded in a couple weeks due to the Essen Spiel convension, so we're extra punchy in this recording — we're sorry / you're welcome? Here's the upcoming schedule! Tuesday, November 1st: Episode #229: Writers' Room: The thing that scared Dark Visionary Tuesday, November 8t...

A lot of new stuff in one story?! Yes, indeed! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:19:13 Adam and Christopher are back to tell all sorts of stories, but bad news: Christopher's audio is still a bit weird, as this episode was recorded on the same day as last week's episode. Not to fear! Trevor and Christopher will be troubleshooting his audio this week to try to solve this issue. Don't let audio weirdness get...

We're ready to have a  howlin' good time! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:27:32 The spooky times have begun, and they're off with quite the start! We recorded this episode AND next week's episode on the same day, but don't hesitate to send us any questions; we can always get to them on a future episode! If you're on the Patreon, join us for a live show on Friday, October 14th!

What's happening out in space? Nothing much, right? Show Notes: Run Time: 1:48:31 Adam is sick! Christopher is injured! But, against all odds, they perseverse and end up telling a tale they're both very proud of. Does it hold up? Do you folks like it as much as we do? Gosh, we hope so! But first, we gotta tell you all about the recording schedule from now through the end of the year! With conventi...

It's another thrilling day, here on the cusp of the spooky months! We're excited for what's to come... Show Notes: Run Time: 1:52:09 Before we get into answering questions, interacting with the chat, and telling stories, we go over the monthly schedule! (That is, after goofing around a bit, as per usual.) Tuesday, October 4th: Episode #226: Writers' Room: NightMist and Alpha vs The Court of Blood...

Good morning, Avians and Arcanists! Show Notes:  Run Time: 1:33:34 What kind of foes are around for a Hero who is mostly a protégé/sidekick/team member for the comparatively short time that she's a hero, especially in relation to the very long time she spent incarcerated after her ONE big villainous outing? Well, that's what this episode is all about! Listen in and learn more! Join us next week fo...

The Last Temptation? EVER?! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:28:56 We start off by talking about a cat, but not a real cat! Sorry for getting sidetracked. You know us. Then we talk about Fanatic! And Apostate! And a story that you know, but we've never gotten this in-depth on. Get your questions about Harpy foes in now !

It's an older story, but it still checks out! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:31:35 We had a lot of fun telling this story! As we mention on the air, we knew many elements of this story going into it, but the stuff we DIDN'T know really bloomed over the course of the recording. We hope you enjoy it, too! Join us next week for another Writers' Room about another early story: "The Last Temptation of Helena!...

Another thrilling Editor's Note! Now, with 100% more online collaboration! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:25:31 We're all over the place on this one, as is often the case with live shows... but even MORE so this time! We weave together letter reading, question answering, environment creating, and goof making, one after another with no discernable pattern. Does that make for good listening? Seems unlikely...

Paul and I did an episode live! Many of you joined us! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:37:16 Trevor did a great job not just making sure the audio worked for making this episode, but also making everything work live, AND he and his partner Jenny sang all of the musical bits LIVE! It was a delight to see him in his element. Meanwhile, Paul and Christopher goofed around on stage, but we brought a lot of you...

Surprise! Are you surprised? Probably not! Not that we have a lot to say here. Just wanted to hop on and chat a bit, rather than releasing nothing at all — that's no fun! We hope you all had a great Gen Con. Heck, we hope we did, too! We recorded and scheduled this minisode at the same time as last week's episode, so this message is time traveling. Like all messages, if you really think about it....

It's just another episode... or is it? (No it is not.) Show Notes: Run Time: 1:22:51 We are plagued by technical difficulties! Early on, Adam says "nothing should be changed", but that doesn't bear out. Give it a listen and see how well Trevor was able to piece together our nonsense! We're setting up Gen Con right now — if you're at the show, come visit  us in booth #1321! Next week is our regular...

A Southwest Sentinels story? It's been so long! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:35:40 We're counting down the days until Gen Con, but we're not quite there yet! We reached out to the Letters Page Patreon contributors for some help narrowing down this topic, and we got a story we might not have told otherwise, which was a blast! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Get your questions in now about Nexus...

Another successful live show in the bag! Here's the audio. Show Notes: Run Time: 1:16:37 Too much time spent on banter last time!  Here's the upcoming schedule: Tuesday, August 2nd: Episode #221: Creative Process: Nexus Primalus Tuesday, August 9th: No Episode! We're at Gen Con! Tuesday, August 16th: Gen Con Live 2022 Tuesday, August 23rd: Editor's Note #58 Tuesday, August 30th: Episode #222: Writ...

Villains for such a friendly fellow? How can it be?! Show Notes: Run Time: 2:02:47 We start off with a real life tale of peril! If you don't want to hear about me and some of my friends in real life danger, I recommend skipping ahead to around the 35 minute mark. That said, it's a helluva story! And everyone survives! Uh, spoilers, I guess. Then, we make some villains! We're all over the place on...

It's pirate time! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:48:10 We've got quite the story for you today, and it's all happening live (except for the fact that I did a bunch of middle of the night thinking about the story before we recorded, as discussed on the air). We tell more than just an issue or two of story in today's episode —  we range far and wide, but still manage to go deep on more than just today's co...

Time to get BOLD! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:38:15 Whew, this is a big one! We've been thinking about this story internally for a while, and we're excited to get to share it with all of you! We hope you enjoy it! Special thanks today to Greater Than Games employees SaRae Henderson and Twuana Price for their helpful advice and consideration on the history and depiction of this story. Join us next week...

Another episode recorded at an odd time! Show Notes:  Run Time: 1:11:19 Since we recorded this episode about a week early, we didn't know at the time of recording what the outcome of the voting would be, but we know now! So, here we go: Upcoming schedule: Tuesday, July 5th: Episode #218: Writers' Room: La Capitan & the Sliver of Creation Tuesday, July 12th: Episode #219: Creative Process: Scholar...

Ve vant to tell you stories! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:44:59 Vampires! A whole world of them?! You betcha! We do some goofs, and then get down to crafting a lot of story!  Next week is this month's Editor's Note, but we already recorded it! But we'll have a whole new slate of episodes for next month coming soon!

Time for a bit of passionate heroics! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:26:14 We're into the month of June! Disparation all month! Will it wear out its welcome? Who can say? Time will tell! First, we get into the heady topic of "chip clips" and then solve them. Also, we tackle fries. Is this the return of the food episode? Listen and find out! This coming Friday, we're recording an episode about "Vampire Wo...

We'll paint you a story! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:23:10 It's Adam's birthday! Today is the day! As a result — or, actually, because you demanded it — we tell a frankly silly story that ends up doing some interesting things. And also we read your letters! This was the first of two episodes recorded in one day, as I'm now in the UK for a week and a half for UK Games Expo! (If you'll be at the show, c...

A irregularly recorded but regularly released Editor's Note! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:34:34 We talk about many things, but first, the schedule! Upcoming schedule: Tuesday, June 7th: Episode #215: Writers' Room — Disparation: Inversiverse Galactra Tuesday, June 14th: Episode #216: Writers' Room — Disparation: Vampire World Tuesday, June 21st: Editor's Note #56 Tuesday, June 28th: Episode #217: Write...

A spooky tale?! From the Sentinels Universe?! NOT IN NOVEMBER?! Huge if true. Show Notes: Run Time: 1:38:33 We hit the ground running at speeds unlike any we have ever reached! And yet, we STILL spend a chunk of time on the story and also read and answer a variety of letters! If you're listening to this right when it comes out and you're a Letters Page Patreon subscriber, you can join us live for...
