The Legion Outriders: A Star Wars Legion Podcast (archived)

The guys start the episode discussing Escalation Play, how to get started with airbrushing, and what impact Leia is making on the meta. If you haven't seen Solo, stop there and go see it. The last half we talk Solo: was it good, is it a box office flop, and what units might make their way to Star Wars Legion.    

In this episode, the guys take a look at everyone's favorite leather-vest-adorned doorway squatters: the Rebel Fleet Troopers. Are they good at anything besides slowing Darth Vader and providing much needed target practice for Stormtroopers? Next we talk terrain...how much is too much? And finally, what are the lists that are dominating the Tabletop Simulator meta?

The baddest bounty hunter in the galaxy will soon be jetpacking across Star Wars Legion, and the guys are sooo ready for it. We talk about his role on the battlefield and the new possibilities of the "Operative." And not to be outdone, we take a look at the Scout Troopers, and finally analyze what the recently released Tournament Rules means for the competitive scene.  

Snowtroopers have arrived! The guys look at how to paint them, they talk about the newly revealed 3rd Leia Command card, and analyze whether or not a Grand Army tournament is a viable event.  

Matt joins us live from Disney's Star Wars Weekend festivities, Josh unleashes his wrath on the Legion News-vacuum of the Hyperspace Report, and a user sends us a sneak peak of an unannounced new Legion product awaiting shipment from FFG!

The guys settle the argument of who will be the better Empire Commander: Vader or Veers, they take a look at how to win the game before Turn 1, and finally, debate whether Therm Scissorpunch is a great name or the GREATEST name.    

On today's episode, we talk about the news release of Han and the Rebel Commandos, we answer the age old question of who is better between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, and we learn the toll that painting binges take on the human body.              

Drop day is here!!! John and Matt talk about their first 800 point match, Matt gives us a recap from GAMA, and Josh decides that Vader doesn't need Saber Throw. Finally, Matt got to sit down with Zach Reyburn, Organized Play Manager at Asmodee North America, to find out the future of organized Star Wars Legion.    

The demo game is finally here, and the guys dive into the results of their first matches. We debate which is the best troop option, what upgrades have had the most impact, and we take the shock collar off of Josh to hear him spit hot fire about expansions.    

We got the rules! First we see if Josh's new shock collar will keep him from ranting, we analyze the developing Legion Online Community, and most importantly, we dive into the Learn to Play Rules released by Fantasy Flight this week.
