How to Be a Forgiver: Receive forgiveness like you receive grace, humbly. Offer forgiveness like Jesus offers grace, freely. While forgiving freely, don’t let go of your boundaries. Understand that sometimes forgiveness takes intentional time. After Pastor Paul's message on forgiveness, we received a lot of questions and comments and wanted to discuss our answers further! 

The pastors use the practice of Lectio Divina to discuss Mark 2:23-3:6. Who are you “being” with this week?

Our calling is to surrender to our fully capable Savior, Jesus. Let's use the "5C Method" to dig into Mark 9:14-29. We're wrapping up our "Fully Capable" section in our Knowing Jesus series.

What a podcast! Mark 5:1-20 opens up lots of topics for discussion. Pastors Paul and John talk football, the demon-possessed man, and some pigs.

Being a disciple of Jesus can be really challenging. But the challenge does not overcome the good news of Jesus: He walks on water to us. He gives us courage. He invites us to participate in the miraculous. He calms the storms of our lives.  The pastors dig into Matthew 14:22-36 in episode 22 of the Knowing Jesus podcast.

The need for compassion doesn’t always come at convenient times. The pastors break down Mark 6:30-44. In your life right now, what is your "five loaves and two fish"—that small thing you feel is too insignificant for God to use?

As disciples of Jesus, we need to know his mission: to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God. Pastors Alice, John, and Michele rate Pastor Paul's message and dig into John 9: 1-39. We pray that God will open our eyes to His work among us— even when it challenges our expectations.

The pastors reflect on our special "Service of Healing & Prayer" from January 11 and the story of Jesus and the ten lepers. (Luke 17: 11-19) If you were at the service (or watched online) where did you most sense God’s presence: in silence, prayer, worship, or community? What part of the service stayed with you the most?   Rise and go; your faith has made you well.

Jesus is fully capable of making us fully capable! He does this by: choosing us, calling us, and empowering us. The pastors dig into Luke 5:1-11 and also discuss fish, football, and FaithLife's future!

In our Advent Flashback this past Sunday, Pastor Alice guided us through Luke 2:41-52, when Jesus was in the temple at age 12. As we move into 2026, we pray to learn what it means to be about the Father’s business - faithful obedience, patient love, and quiet trust formed over time.

Have you had unexpected good news recently? Joseph certainly did. The pastors discuss Matthew 1:18-25 and how Joseph followed God in a very unexpected way by being the earthly father of Jesus.
