Today I go a bit technical as this weekend resulted in me working. Mostly just a rant on how operations teams are lackluster at best, especially when they are outsourced.

Another Monday where I complain about how people select usernames, especially for online games. Then I close it out with a quick discussion on password vaults for personal use. 

This is the first in a series of going deeper into some of the job functions you can find yourself holding within IT. I start with the help desk as your launchpad for your career. While not glamorous in nature, it will help you build upon your existing skills that will make you successful throughout the rest of your career.

A decent snowfall has occurred here in the farmlands of New Jersey! I discuss the curve balls property owners face, especially when the weather rears its ugly head. Then I dig into the first world problems we face, again, like losing a repo in Kodi and starting the process of looking for a new repo.

I start off with the Oscars and go into a rant on race relations in the US.

In this episode we talk about the aftermath of a change that pretty much wipes out your group. How do you recover? What is next for you in this new world? There will be gaps that need to be filled, tribal knowledge gone, and changes in ideology that management will want to start in order to foster innovation.

I've been trying to get this going for about a year, my answers to some common Reddit questions in the r/ITCareerQuestions subreddit. It gets a bit heated during one of the questions because sometimes I'm not sure what people are expecting when they want to work in a technology position.

The ProBowl and how subscription services are the downfall for the consumer.

We've all been on them, those painful calls when core systems are down. You need to prove your innocence and show how you are competent in what you do. I break down a recent call I had to give tips on how you can approach similar situations.
