The Imposter Presents: The Unraveling

Rayleen and Penny catch up with us after Nicole learns the whole story.  They share updates and perceptions that have not been shared as well as the feelings only true friends can experience.  Please remember to leave questions on the show post on instagram!

Taking a step back from the story, we circle back with Marie's daughter.  Now that Nicole is in the know, Lex and the hosts explore feelings, reactions, and predictions from after the moment of electrical tape.  You don't mess with family.  

Marie meets some more people, some of which have trauma bonded with each other.  One of the people she meets is possibly his new partner.  Should she reach out?  Will they believe her?  How can she keep up?  Marie decides that enough is enough.

Marie is able to confront Joe and speak with him.  Will she get answers, or still be left in the dark?  So many mixed messages, so many more questions to be answered. Marie walks us through the confusion and her own mental gymnastics to make the lies make sense.  Marie attempts to apply puzzle pieces, but you can't make sense of nonsense.

Marie already knew she was done with the relationship, but was the story over?  When she gets some advice about protecting herself from an unlikely source, she has the opportunity to confront more truths.  How could someone juggle so many lies?

Marie has just discovered something that has the potential of changing her life as she knows it.  The level of betrayal and hurt in that moment would only scratch the surface of everything she was about to discover about her soon to be fiance. As he lays in a hospital bed, she begins her path to uncovering more of the lies.  The truth should not have been hidden. 

In this episode, Marie explores more aspects of her progressing relationship.  They begin planning a future together.  When a trip literally and figuratively goes south, she is confronted with some realities that she never thought possible.  Can this really be happening?

In this episode, we hear some other persepctives and stories relating to the beginning of the series.  We are joined by two women who share the meeting, first impressions, and support of our narrator in the beginning of her new relationship.  As always, the story is the interpretation of events as told by our guest and listener's discretion is advised.
