Online social media platforms have given us the ability to say what we want whenever we want.  That can be really great, but there are some major downsides.  We can have this false allusion that just because we posted about a hot button issue that we've done something.  I think it's time to take the words of James to heart and ask if our faith has been put into action?

Definitions define how words are used. When definitions change the way that words are used change, both in society and in law. So when this happens the church should take note because it will undoubtably how we are seen.

The closer we get to the election the more I want to stay off social media.  Not because people are being naturally horrible to one another, I expect that from nonbelievers.  The concerning part is that it seems as if Christians can't tell the difference between our faith and our political parties. So let's rant about that for a minute.

I'm not sure how I went this long without knowing the conversion story of Charles Spurgeon.  It such an interesting story that should give us all hope that God uses all of us.
