We hear a nice Liriodendron remaster of Led Zeppelin in Frankfurt June 30, 1980, on their Tour Over Europe. This remaster brings a smoother, more professional balance to the soundboard, which makes it all the more fun to hear. I play Trampled Underfoot, (one of the best) Achilles' Last Stand, and a fun and rollicking Whole Lotta Love. They could still deliver in 1980 and they did.

We hear a nice Master audience recording from Led Zeppelin from March 20, 1975 in Vancouver BC. This is a fun show with a powerful Jimmy Page, and I play In My Time Of Dying, Trampled Underfoot, and a funky, frenetic, Whole Lotta Love/Heartbreaker with a bunch of Lickin' Stick to hold it together. A delightful show.

We listen to tracks from Led Zeppelin's second tour of Japan; specifically October 4, 1972 in Osaka. Robert's voice is in the process of shifting from the high register of the early days to the lower range of the latter days (1973 and onwards), which can make for some interesting renditions. We hear Led Zeppelin in Vancouver BC July 18, 1973 in all their glory. This show is unique in that they had to stop early and take Robert to the hospital (they said) because he was tripping balls on LSD and after Stairway was done. The show is still brilliant and we hear Misty Mountain Hop-->Since I've Been Loving You, and a sublime No Quarter, as well as the announcement about Robert's condition.

This is a lovely low gen recording from November 25, 1988 at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, in support of Jimmy Page's Outrider album. This tour is incredible and should not be overlooked by Zep fans. Jimmy Page, John Miles, Durban LaVerde, and Jason Bonham make a tight little unit cranking out Zeppelin tunes (for the first time since 1980), Firm tunes, Death Wish 2 tunes, and even a Yardbirds tun...

We hear from Led Zeppelin's penultimate night of their 6 night run at Madison Square Garden, with a nice 3 source merge. I play Over The Hills, Going to California, and No Quarter (with a little Mary Poppins) to give a nice overview of the show. Good stuff all around. Loud and aggressive.

This is a great recording of Led Zeppelin at Brondby DK March 15, 1969 (late show). A hungry young band plays the club with a ferocity and joy which remains unrivaled. I play Train, I Can't Quit You, and a Dazed which is reminiscent of the album version. A joy.

We hear a tasty DADGAD remaster of the classic TMOQ vinyl of Led Zeppelin in Seattle July 17, 1973. This is a truly enjoyable audience recording and I play Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter, and The Rain Song. Beautiful.

We hear some rockin' raucous rock n roll with Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes at the Roseland NYC on Oct. 14, 1999. They're amazing together and I play Wiser Time, Sick Again, and Nobody's Fault But Mine, all of which benefit from the 3 guitar army wall of sound. Fantastic.

This is one of the best nights of Led Zeppelin's 1975 US tour. March 12, 1975 in Long Beach has all four cylinders blazing. We hear a fresh transfer from the 3rd Source master tapes, and they sound great! A supernal No Quarter and Heartbreaker are heard; the latter containing a rockin' I'm A Man jam. This is a magic night.

We hear a rollicking Coverdale/Page show from Dec 17, 1993 in Tokyo, and Jimmy is playing up a storm. We hear Over Now, an awesome Take A Look At Yourself, and Shake My Tree w/ Theramin solo. Good stuff is to be had. Enjoy

We hear an insane Whole Lotta Love from Sept 24 1971 Tokyo, as Led Zeppelin is on their first tour of Japan. The song is 30 minutes of Rave On, You Time Is Gonna Come, I'm A Man, Hello Mary Lou, How Many More Times, and more... all within Whole Lotta Love. It's ridiculously good. Also play a groovy Communcation Breakdown. Also insane.

We hear a great recording of Robert Plant with Saving Grace in Vicenza, Italy from Sept 6, 2023. Robert plays four Zep songs in this show and we heart them all. I play Cuckoo (not Zep), Friends, Four Sticks, The Rain Song (beautiful!), and Gallows Pole. This is an intimate and lovely performance. Enjoy.

We hear a great Mike Millard recording of Bob Dylan on July 31, 1988 at the beginning of his Neverending Tour. This is the shirtless vest/GE Smith era, and the setlist is heavy with hits. I play Absolutely Sweet Marie, Simple Twist of Fate, and To Ramona.

We hear more songs from March 24, 1973 in Offenburg, from Led Zeppelin at their musical peak. Good stuff. Over the Hills, Black Dog, The Song Remains The Same, and Heartbreaker are heard.

This is Led Zeppelin at their instrumental peak. March 24, 1973 Offenburg, Germany. This is the 2 source Eddie Edwards release and it is incredible. Like the Japan 1971 tour the Europe 1973 tour is a must hear for all Zep, or even classic rock, fans. We hear SIBLY and Dazed in the podcast.

I speak again with James Cook of Led Zeppelin News about the 1970 filmed concerts, Jimmy's poppy/dragon suits, taxes, shadiness and journalism in the Zep community. Good stuff. James is wonderful and insightful, as always.

A second source for Led Zeppelin Vancouver BC Aug 19, 1971 has been found, and it contains the first three songs of the show, which are missing from the existing source. Hear Immigrant Song, Heartbreaker, and Since I've Been Loving You from the brand new 2 Source Merge released hours ago. This is great!

This is a really brilliant DAGAD remaster of John Wizardo's master tapes of Led Zeppelin on June 23, 1977 (The legendary For Badgeholders Only show with Keith Moon) at the LA Forum. This recording is exquisite and the show and atmosphere are second to none. A good one for sure!

We hear a few from Feb. 1, 1969 (the Late Show) at the Fillmore East, NYC. Led Zeppelin is winding up their first tour and they're winning hearts and minds with their energy and virtuosity. I play Train>I Can't Quit You and How Many More Times. Amazing band.

We hear a remaster of Led Zeppelin's first concert in two years, July 23, 1979 in Copenhagen, DK. The sound is stellar as is the performance. Everyone involved was eager to prove that there was still gas in the tank. A unique peek at late era Zep playing a small 1000ish capacity venue a week before playing Knebworth in front of hundreds of thousands.

This is a great professional recording of boogie woogie band Rocket 88 playing live on June 5, 1984 in Nottingham as a benefit for the recently late Alexis Korner (father of British blues and member of Rocket 88). This show features Charlie Watts, Ian Stewart, Jack Bruce, Jimmy Page, Paul Jones, Ruby Turner and many more. Super fun show with greatly improved sound.
