A perfect week for Iowa's major winter sports teams doesn't come along very often. But it sure does make for fun radio.

With GMigs closed for the weather, the boys call in from their respective homesteads but manage a full show covering Women's Hoops and Wrestling, Men's Hoops and Wrestling, Baseball, and yes....still more Football. There's always more to talk about in the world of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

It's not a fun subject, but the boys can't help but discuss Iowa's flop in the Citrus Bowl. But they keep one eye on the future and update the winter sports as they head into 2024.

It’s Citrus Bowl week and there’s plenty of football talk left to go around as the boys wrap up the season.

A light week in terms of competition doesn't mean there isn't a lot to talk about. The offensive coordinator position is still open and players still have decisions to make in football. The hoops teams both won easily and Caitlyn Clark continues her track to her place on Iowa's Mount Rushmore of athletes. Plus the boys have a little using the extra time to jump a bit off topic and have some fun.

A rough week for the men's hoops team isn't the end of the world. The women's team keeps finding ways to win. And the football All-American teams are out with Iowa being well-represented.

The Big Ten Championship may have ended as expected but there were plenty of surprises along the way to discuss. Now its time to turn toward Citrus Bowl prep and discuss coaching hires, players in the portal, and what it all means for the future.

So much to cram into an hour long show. The boys do their best to touch on all of it while paying fair attention to football as the regular season is now in the past and Michigan awaits in the Big Ten Championship Game.

Pre-empted by Drake Basketball on the Radio, the boys put together a technology challenged but packed podcast to discuss Iowa's Big Ten West Championship and all other things in the Hawkeye sports world.

So much happening in so many sports! A packed show with football, basketball, women's basketball, soccer, field hockey, and women's wrestling all part of the discussion.

A show that could have used two hours with the football win over Northwestern and the Wrigley experience, both hoops teams kicking off the season, field hockey into the NCAAs and a Big Ten Championship for the Soccer team.

A bye week for football certainly isn't boring as news on the Iowa Coaching Staff takes center stage. It's time for hoops to crank up. And the other fall sports begin to wrap up with their conference tournaments.

So much to unpack after the frustrating and emotional loss of Floyd Of Rosedale to Minnesota. The boys don't hold back in their opinions of both the crushing inappropriately applied official's call that cost Cooper Dejean Hawkeye immortality AND the coaching situation that has reached critical mass.

The Hawks have moved to 5-1 on the gridiron but the fans feel mired in mediocrity. Is that fair and what will happen at Wisconsin next weekend?

Iowa wins another game with a sputtering offense and stellar special teams & defense. Purdue is ahead.

It seems the Hawkeye football team is becoming less competitive in big games and Saturday night's shut-out at the hands of Penn State was no different. Will Iowa rebound? There is also some good news on the hoops recruiting front for both the men and the women on this abbreviated Hawkeye Huddle.

The Hawkeye offense is suddenly run heavy but Penn State looms on the horizon. The boys wrap up Western Michigan and get you set for the tilt at Beaver Stadium in University Park in State College in the Happy Valley in the Nittany Mountains of Pennsylvania.

It's a Hawkeye state once again but there's plenty to analyze around the 20-13 victory over Iowa State.

The first week of Hawkeye Football was encouraging to some, frustrating to others. The boys provide their thoughts that are a little bit on both sides of the coin. And they get you set for the CyHawk Showdown.

The beginning of season number 20 for the boys finds them excited about the upcoming football season as well as their new broadcast home on ESPN/1350 KRNT in Des Moines (102.1 FM).

The final show of the year is upbeat and celebratory of the Iowa Women's Basketball team's year. Men's tranfer portal talk and football are included as well.

The Hawkeye Women's basketball team has captured the hearts of the nation in their march to the Final Four. A big focus on them on this weeks penultimate show for the year.

An early exit for the Iowa men but a Sweet 16 for the Iowa women in basketball. Wrestling finishes 2nd after the monumental upset of Spencer Lee. And Baseball keeps trucking along.

An early show this week due to NCAA Basketball pre-emption but the boys are still talking tons of March Madness and optimistic that next week's show will NOT be the last of the year.

Loads to celebrate as the Iowa Women win another Big Ten Championship. But the men's hoops team has an oddy unsatisfying week and the wrestlers come up just short at the Big Ten meet.
