Animation April is back! We are doing cartoon horror movies and we begin with the German film Felidae, which features a cat investing the murder of local cats in the neighbourhood, what he uncovers is a plot that is fittingly German, and revelatory of the writers sensibilities. It can be watched here We are hosted at Captivate where you can tip us to send us movie suggestions and theme months. If...

We wrap up Mini March with a Lionel Barrymore film, about a escaped prisoner who seeks revenge against his conspirators while under a false identity. If that sounds familiar, let me say, yes. yes it does. but he gets help with a crackpot widow that wants to save the world by shrinking humanity. Hows does this factor in with his plans? Hear what we have to say about it It can be watched here We are...

We hold firm to our diet and keep the show nice and slim, unlike the hulking brute scientist who is built like a refrigerator and not afraid to use his muscle where his mind and eyes may fail. This is actually a pretty decent film and worth watching for free on Internet Archive. But if you don't feel like that, you can enjoy our new segment Mike Notes, where Mike sums up the movie in under 5 minut...

We are back to shrinking movies, and while we loved the Incredible Shrinking Man, Bert I Gordon, The original Notorious B.I.G, fell in love with its box office and tried to copy it's success without any of the brilliance that made it so, and shat out this movie so lame, they thought adding a musical number, under duress for both the singer and the audience, was a good touch. We hope you enjoy the...

Reduction does not only happen in height, as the star of this weeks movie can attest. We are joined by John's brother and return guest Phil, but we still don't break an hour, so we can relate to the ever wasting Billy Hallock. If you've seen the inciting incident in this movie, then you appreciate of the title, and if you have not, we will explain the entire movie in under 4 minutes in the Mike No...

We are reducing in size and cutting the podcast down a bit. Tell us if you find the show more efficient or if we have been cutting out the best parts. And we are bringing in Mike Note, which are like Cliff notes but by Mike instead of Cliff. We are hosted at Captivate where you can tip us to send us movie suggestions and theme months. If you would like to make continued support to help keep the sh...

We end Black History Month with Nope, the Jordan Peele classic that had numerous layers and was just dripping with competence and excellence from start to finish. This film has a lot to say and we are here to share what we heard from it. We will also be changing the format of the show a little for the next marathon month and are counting on hearing from you about your thoughts, so please reach out...

We continue the blaxploitation with a comedy from the Dolemite creator Rudy Ray Moore. A martial artist comedian with a degree in rhymeology get resurrected by Satan with a deal to marry his daughter. But there's one problem. She's ugly. We are hosted at Captivate where you can tip us to send us movie suggestions and theme months. If you would like to make continued support to help keep the show g...

We are happy to welcome back Maki from our first Black History Month Marathon (starting with Son of Ingagi 1940) to the show as we talk about the movie everyone is talking about, Sinners. A freaking masterpiece from start to finish, this is loaded with history and we talk about all of it. This is a loaded episode but we have a blast and hope you will too! We are hosted at Captivate where you can t...

Black History Month is back and we celebrate it with Keith Hayes aka Sinista1 to talk about a movie dear to his heart, J.D's Revenge! What happens when a dead gangster find himself in the body of a law student? Well he engages in an hour of filler before actually embarking on his eponymous revenge, and displays some utterly reprehensible behaviour. But we do have some more history about a hairstyl...

Christopher Lee and Vincent Price. Can we finally see some interaction between these 2 that isn't weird and confusing? Yes we can if one is dead by the time the other walks in. Seriously i need to see their riders to find out if people made garbage with them all the time by coincidence or if it was required. This movie is based on a title of a story by Edgar Allan Poe, and that's it. This was a ro...

vampire robots and pseudo nazis are doing things and we watch the cops stumble their way around this conspiracy and somehow it's boring, despite having Vincent Price, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing in it. Like did they have contracts saying any movie has to suck if they have more than 2 of these people together? We are hosted at Captivate where you can tip us to send us movie suggestions and th...

What happens when you take House of Wax and go back 100 years? You get this movie. A travelling troupe of performers are asked to perform for Count Drago, a very heavily makeup riddled Christopher Lee, who is not nearly as makeup covered as Donald Sutherland who pulls Eddie Murphy duty and plays 3 roles. But this movie made such an impact on him, it's where he got the name for his son Kiefer. Glad...

We kick of a new year with a new JanuarLee, once again celebrating the works of one of the masters of the macabre, Sir Christopher Lee. This marathon kicks off with Funny Man, a sleeper hit that had Lee for all of 16 minutes and the worst actors possible for the rest. We are hosted at Captivate where you can tip us to send us movie suggestions and theme months. If you would like to make continued...

We have survived the worst and we have been purged of spite. Now we are made pure to revel in the bliss of what 2025 gave to the podcast. You voted and we listened, and now the best movies reviewed in 2025 get their flowers! We are hosted at Captivate where you can tip us to send us movie suggestions and theme months. If you would like to make continued support to help keep the show going and get...

It's the end of the year, and we take stock of what we have done. And while we aim to end on a high note, we cannot ignore the worst. After all each episode has us discussing the good and the bad in equal fairness. We salute the worst films we have reviewed this year, and the winners were decided by YOU who answered our Facebook polls in our group page. Those who wish they can participate can do b...

Say what you want about Slay Belles but at least it had a discernible plot. This is an arthouse film with a silent SH. It's about aliens...or demons, or creatures...and they're here now and maybe they can be killed or they just leave before the host dies? who knows? It's the last film review of the year but not the last episode. There's still 2 more of those. If you've joined the Facebook page the...

What do you get when you dress up Barry Bostwick as Kris Kristopherson and try to convince us he's Santa? Well you don't do that cause that's stupid. But these people did it anyway. We are hosted at Captivate where you can tip us to send us movie suggestions and theme months. If you would like to make continued support to help keep the show going and get access to bonus perks, you can do so by che...

We spread open the turkey legs and our window of wintry holiday horrors as we incorporate a thanksgiving horror that is not featuring a puppet of a turkey. This was recommended by Matt, a Patreon donor. If you want to suggest films you can reach us in numerous ways in these show notes, but if you want your selections fast tracked, you can become a supporter of the show, and enjoy premium perks lik...

We finish the Fall of the Queens on a high note, as we review The Babysitter: Killer Queen. don't be deceived by the low ratings elsewhere, this movie is LOVED here. We had a great time watching and a great time lavishing it with praise. We also have a treat for you as this episode contains the sample of our Patreon exclusive episode, The Graveyard Channel! You can hear the whole thing, and the wh...

We continue the Fall of the Queens as we take a fall cruise to tour a real life ship that has a history of haunting. The movie we watched could have benefited from being more than one movie, rather than jamming too many interesting plots into a Brundlefly storyline. But we have a lot of fun talking about it, so join us! There is so much wrong with this we cant even address it all in a decent time....

The Fall of the Queens continues as we cover the Queen of the Damned. The film that Anne Rice didn't want made, then loved everything about it while it was being made, and then didn't want seen or discussed in her presence after it was released. At least you can say this movie has not aged poorly, because it couldn't be more hated and mocked now than it was on release! but a regular episode just i...

This month of November we celebrate the fall season. And royalty. So we are celebrating horror movies with Queen in the title, in the Fall of the Queens. Since it's a new month we decided to cover Fear Street again. What? Did we not cover the trilogy already? Whats this other movie about? Glad you asked. It's a brand new Fear Street movie! not quite connected to the original trilogy, but also kind...

We end the Halloween of 2025 with the end of the Fear Street Trilogy! The story and writing that have bewitched us so far, reaches its conclusion. but can it keep the momentum, answer all the questions it raised and resolve the concerns we had? Listen and find out! We are hosted at Captivate where you can tip us to send us movie suggestions and theme months. If you would like to make continued sup...
