In this episode of FPP, we introduce Second Wave Feminism by pointing out its three main influences and primary proponents. We learned that feminists like Simon de Beauvoir as well as the movement in the 1960s- 1970s formed the foundation for views on gender and ultimately LGBTQ movements today. In other words, feminism continues to bear rotten fruit.

The period from the 1880s-1960s is pivotal towards the development of First Wave Feminism and the post-suffrage slump. During this time, women were encouraged to stay home, leave the home to support WW2 efforts, and return back to the home as the model of the suburban housewife.
