Joseph’s brothers conspire to kill him after tensions mount in light of Joseph’s dreams and the favor given him by their father, Jacob. Other topics: Technicolor dream coat the significance of Hebron Why did Reuben want to save Joseph?

Cale first talks about how those who are not part of Israel are still important to God.  Cale  introduces us to Joseph and his story.  He talks about why the brothers of Joseph didn’t like him and were jealous of him.  Cale then explains Joseph’s first dream.

Cale begins with a sneak preview of Jacob, Joseph & Reuben’s later relationships.  He then talks the sons of Jacob, completing the 12 tribes of Israel.  Cale analyzes the descendants of Esau, breaking down the meanings of the names of those descendants and its significance.  Cale ends talking about marriage and the dangers of marrying someone with different religious views.

Cale discusses  how Jacob becomes Israel and why it’s  significant because God gives a blessing.  Cale comapres Jacob’s name change to Abram’s name change.  Cale also takes a look at the death of Rachel who died while giving birth to Benjamin.  He also discusses Rachel’s tomb, the death of Deborah (Rebekah’s nurse) and the significance of Bilhah.

Cale Clarke finishes up his analysis of Genesis 34 as he talks about Dinah’s brothers rescuing her while pillaging the city and the moral implications of that.  Also, how God is the ultimate chessmaster and works through people’s sin. Cale also discusses Jacob’s call from God to go to Bethel and the changes he had to make in his life.
