The world feels like a movie and sometimes movies get it right or wrong. We are talking about: 28 Days Later, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Crazies, and other movies that eerily relate to our world right now. Do you agree with our list or do you have anything to add??

This episode, Electro and Banno talk about the latest edition of a story that goes back over 120 years. This time director Leigh Whannell takes a shot at  The Invisible Man  does an acceptable job, at least according to Electro. The guys also go on an extended conversation about the history of the universal monsters leading to an inevitable discussion about The Mummy.

This week, Electro and Banno try to figure out if they should ditch the podcasting game and instead start a boy band. This episode is what is called in the movie biz a "double-feature." We had to include a review of "Bad Boys' because "Birds of Prey' was so bad we could not dedicate a whole hour to it. The way we see it, Ethan Hawke is the only bird of prey we need!

The second and final part of our 2019 awards is here! In this episode, Electro and Banno go through their list of the best films of 2019. From "Knives Out" to "Doctor Sleep" and "The Joker," the list contains their favorite 22 movies of last year. What do you think? Would you have added or taken any out of the list?

Most of the Hollywood movie awards have fancy panels and judges, but we don't need all that here at the Power Hour. All we need is Electro, and his list of 48 movies he saw in the theatre last year ranked from worst to first. We couldn't dare unleash the whole episode at once, so we broke it down into two parts. First up, our selection of the worst films of 2019.

January is a traditionally a bad month for movies but this year Guy Ritchie decided to change that. Ritchie goes back to the funny, fast paced style that made him a regular Hollywood name with  The Gentleman.  Electro and Banno are in agreement that they both enjoyed the film although some critics disagree with them. We are in the middle of awards season, so we split this episode into two. First, we talk about the Golden Globes and how they messed everything up and give them a thumbs up on a couple of things they got correct. Then we get to our review of the funny and entertaining Rian Johnson movie  Knives Out. Who knew that Daniel Craig was a southern gentleman under all that James Bondness?

This episode, we dig into the latest Clint Eastwood flick about a hero who was dragged through the mud for months before getting his name cleared. Do we feel like this was an accurate representation of the story? Did the media get villanized to a cartoonish extent as our producer thinks? Should Kathy Bates win an Oscar? Will Banno ever return from Europe? We answer all that and more this week!

Banno is still off on his European travels but the Power Hour moves on! This episode we talk about the Quinten Tarintino written: "True Romance" a favorite amongst all of us here on the podcast. What was originally supposed to be a part of  "Natural Born Killers" became one of the most memorable movies of the 90s. This episode has it all "... from a diddled-eyed joe to damned if I know."

Now that the holidays are over are we were thinking about what movies we would include in our top 5 holiday movies of all time. We ended up with four different lists with a couple of common titles between them. What are your top 5? Do you agree with us, or did we leave something out?

If you want time travel, deadly robots, and a naked Arnold Schwarzenegger, there is only one movie to go to, and that is  The Terminator. The 1984 sci-fi film directed by James Cameron is the topic of this episode, and we go deep into this classic film. Electro also wonders why people like Cameron. 

Ethan Hawke films are going to be a frequent point of discussion on this podcast and this episode we dig deep into the Antoine Fuqua directed " Training Day". Our boy Hawke gets paired with Denzel Washington who earned his second Oscar for his portrayal of corrupt cop Alonzo Harris.

A lot of directors have used the Joker in their movies and now it is Todd Phillips turn. It was such a special movie to us that we brought on our old friend James to help us break down this dark and entertaining film. We recorded this several hours after we all went to watch the film together so it is a fresh and raw conversation about a movie we all loved. 

Andy Muschietti is back to direct the sequel to his 2017 hit about Pennywise the Clown. Did Chapter 2 meet the high expectations set by the first film or should it be thrown in the sewers never to be seen again? The debate between Electro and Banno may surprise you.
