The Electro and Banno Movie Power Hour Podcast

As awards season winds down, the Movie Power Hour celebrates 2022 in movies. The guys go through their list of the movies they watched in 2022, from Scream to Puss in Boots, and rank them all in search of 2022's very best. Too many movies were watched to cover in one episode, so listen as the guys go through the first half of the list.

Top Gun: Maverick was one of the guys' favorite movies from 2022. It only seems fair that they dedicate an episode to it. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, Tom Cruise is back as Maverick 36 years after the original film. Top Gun Maverick was at the top of the box office charts and the top of the guys' hearts! 2022 has surprised us with a good amount of horror movies, and some were actually good! Smile was the surprise hit that won our hearts. Directed by Parker Finn and starring Sosie Bacon, there was plenty to Smile about. Then there was Halloween Ends. Did we love that too? Listen and find out.    

With Halloween still in the rearview mirror, the boys discuss the plethora of recent horror releases. Starting with Pearl, Ti West's prequel to eXcellent X, once again starring Mia goth. Followed by Barbarian, directed by Zack Cregger and starring Georgina Campbell and Bill Skarsgård, the movie caught us all by surprise. Tune in for some spooky fun!

It has been too long since the boys covered a movie starring the man, the myth, the muse that fuels the Power Hour, Mr. Ethan Hawke. The Black Phone was directed by Scott Derrickson, who previously directed Hawke in 2012's Sinister. A perfect film for this spooky October!

This time...the reviews are even later. Michael Bay is still at it making action-packed movies, and he called the one and only Jake Gyllenhaal to make it happen. Also, there's a new Jurassic World movie. Which one do you think the guys loved? Listen and find out!
