As we close the year and prepare for our 5th annual Eddy Awards special, let's take a look back at some of our favorite recast segments from the 2018 season.

Just in time for Christmas, Joe & Joel check out a Netflix Original on this week’s penultimate episode for 2018. In an inspired bit of casting, Kurt Russell dons Santa’s hat in this new take on a beloved character.

Love it or hate, you can’t deny that this new Christmas classic isn’t going anywhere. With an all star cast and a “throw-it-all-against-the-wall-to-see-what-sticks” attitude, Joe and Joel discover that love actually IS all around us.

With the recent passing of the great Stan Lee, we take this episode to reflect on his legacy, tell some stories, and oh yeah, review one of his first on-screen cameos in this uneven super-hero adaptation.

First came Dracula, and the Wolfman too...the Mummy and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. And only a rag-tag team of “middle-schoolers” can save the world in this monster-mashup from 1987.

What if you cheated Death once, but Death came back to try again? And he looked like the Candyman? That’s the premise of this early-2000’s blood parade that spawned a franchise.

As Halloween month continues, we travel back to the early 80’s with this parody spoofing all of the early thrasher flick tropes. Also, Joe and Joel list some of their favorite Halloween movies.

Don’t Panic! It’s just another adapted sci-fi comedy with a stellar cast and a wicked sense of humor. But is it enough to get two thumbs-up from Joe and Joel? The answer is…42.

Film adaptations of video games are notorious for being sub-par, but this week’s movie is definitely top 5 material. Part zombie-flick, part Stargate, and all terrible, the title is about the only thing this film gets right.

It started as a rock band duo, evolved into a TV show, and then became a movie about a rock band duo. Throw in a sprinkling of drug humor, a plethora of cameos, and satan himself, and you’ve got yourself this stoner classic decades in the making.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to try to find more than 1 redeemable quality about this black sheep from an otherwise successful franchise. And no, slow motion doves don’t count.
