Key Points: Small-cell (neuroendocrine) carcinoma tends to be Rb1-negative and cyclin D1-negative, while large-cell carcinomas are largely positive for Rb1 and/or cyclin D1. The use of this simplified expression pattern leads to a diagnostic accuracy of 97.3%.  

In summary,  lung adenocarcinoma grading is based on the predominant histological pattern. Immunophenotypes also reflect tumor behavior, but these immunophenotypic features are not incorporated in the current grading schema.

Features of Gallbladder Carcinomas -- The fifth most common cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. -- Poor prognosis and very low overall 5-year survival rates of  less than 5%.  -- The most common type is adenocarcinomas. -- Adenocarcinomas usually are positive for IMP3, S100P, and Maspin. -- The pathologic staging differs from that of other carcinomas in the GI tract.

Feature Summary of CMTCT -- A novel pathologic entity of melanocytic origin, -- Variable positive immunostains for S100-protein, HMB45, and Melan-A. -- Diffusely positive stains for SOX10, MITF, and TRIM11 -- CRTC1 & TRIM11 fusion is a signature genetic alteration. -- Seems to be a low-grade indolent tumor with malignant potential.
