Aussie Jai Hindley struck at the perfect moment on stage 20 at the Giro to put himself in a commanding position on GC with one stage remaining.  He holds a 1.25 lead going into the final time trial after dropping Richard Carapaz in the finale.  We spoke with Jai prior to the start and unpack an historic day for Australian cycling.

With only two days remaining the Giro is set for an epic GC showdown between Jai Hindley and Richard Carapaz after things remained deadlocked after stage 19.  Carapaz however has lost Richie Porte through stomach illness so we preview the final two stages.

It's all down to three guys for the GC at the Giro as Almeida is forced to withdraw due to a positive covid test. We preview the final few stages and assess Hindley's chances of being the first Australian to win the Giro d'Italia.

Simon Yates withdrew from the Giro 40km to go in stage 17 after succumbing to his knee injury sustained early in the race. The Hindley v Carapaz battle remains stable for another day as the riders prepare for another sprint stage on stage 18.

Aussie Jai Hindley edges another four seconds closer to Carapaz on the GC at the Giro after Bora Hansgrohe took it again to Ineos on stage 16 at the Giro.  Iffy also catches up with Sir Bradley Wiggins before the start.
