I Love Scripture 23.06.2026 34:13
Many of us carry a lot of religious baggage. From questions about other believers to strict legalism, there is a lot to critique in my own tradition, but there is a lot to love! Where there are No Kings 26.05.2026 24:12
In this episode, I explore Jesus' statement that "the first will be last, and the last will be first." Taken at face value, is Jesus suggesting moving the oppressed/oppressor around while maintaining the same system? And how does this relate to who gets to be king? Worship Ain't a Light Switch 12.05.2026 30:44
Worship isn't a light switch we cut on during a one-hour worship service and cut off when we leave. When we understand Jesus' answer to the Samaritan woman, our entire concept of worship and sacred spaces is challenged. The War Prayer 04.05.2026 24:58
Have you ever considred how positively answered prayers might negatively affect others? For example, if you pray for your team to lose, then you're praying for the other team to win. If you pray for the hurricane to change directions, it might just go towards a different region. In Mark Twain's challlenging piece "The War Prayer," he explores what happens when we pray for victory in war. Substack:...
