Image Destroying Caesar (Luke 20:19–26). The enforcers of the Law are intent on handing over Christ to the power of the State. Crazy Usurping Tenants (Luke 20:9–18). Who would send their only Son to encourage usurping tenants to fork over a harvest? Rather than sending vengeance, the Lord sends his Son that his own people reject. God calls his people to produce a harvest of faith. Advent Authority Question (Luke 20:1–8). The law enforcers challenge what authority Jesus has to assert the promises of God. Brilliant Breastplate People (Revelation 21:9–21) Look at the devoted bride who is intimately loves Christ the Lamb. God’s covenant promises are given. The city of God is just rocks and metals through which flows the light and love of God to make her people brilliant. Using Backstabbing Usurpers (Revelation 17:1–18) The great city is a boastful whore to the destructive beast sucking down a flashy goblet of filthy abominations. She and her royal minions seek to destroy the Lamb and his chosen faithful. Demon Inspired Armageddon (Revelation 16:12–21). Demonic spirits are at work deceiving leaders and people to oppose God. Jesus warns believers to stay clothed with enduring faith. Two Different Harvests (Revelation 14:14–15:8). Jesus’ parable of the Wheat and Weeds is realized. Those who endured in faith are harvested. Then those who opposed and rejected God are harvested into the winepress. Our only hope is the eternal Gospel. Death Following Deeds (Revelation 14:1–13) The slain Lamb stands against the Beast with 144,000 who had been purchased and redeemed from this world. God is determined to give the eternal Gospel. The Spirit calls us to endure and cling to Christ all the way through death.
