No Sight Without Light (John 9:18–41). The tragic blindman’s own parents don’t protect but abandon him they are so afraid to acknowledge Jesus. Blindness Occasioning Glorification (John 9:1–17). Who sinned? We all did. Why the blindness? Sop God may be glorified even through the brokenness of this sin-racked world. Honoring Knowing God (John 8:47–59). Slandering Jesus, liars say they know God but disobey His Word and seek their own glory. Jesus honors the Father and seeks his glory. Deceiving Enslaving Parentage (John 8:33–47). Sinners claim freedom they don’t possess. Jesus says their unbelief, rejection, hatred and murderous plans show their parentage is the Deceiver. Identifying Lifting Up (John 8:21–32). Jesus tells us we will die if our sins if we reject him. “I am” the one from heaven, sent by the Father and I speak for Him. Valid Certainty Testimony (John 8:12–20). Why is Jesus’ testimony valid and certain? Human reason has no idea about eternity. Judging Jesus by human standards, truly ignorance, is uncertainty. Sin Leaving Life (John 7:53–8:11). The Law bean counters bring the woman but not the man caught in adultery. They mean to catch Jesus in a trap. There’s no question of sin. Will we mourn our sin? Life Flowing Within (John 7:37–52). When you are thirsty, do you come to Jesus? When Christ is ascended and glorified the Holy Spirit is given. Trying To Kill Jesus (John 7:14–36). They are amazed at Jesus’ teaching which comes from the One who sent him. Teaching which glorifies God. Do you seek the glory of God? Hating Jesus’ Testimony (John 7:1–13). His brothers tell Jesus to be a world figure go show yourself to get the approval of the world. The brothers want a sign. What is the most visible sign of Christ to this day? The cross. Accepting Hard Teaching (John 6:60–71). Does God’s Word offend you? God’s word tells us that our efforts of flesh count for nothing. Only the Spirit gives life. Only the Spirit can give us faith. Feasting On Christ (John 6:51-59). What do you feed yourself all week long? If you consume Christ, you will have life, eternal life. Does Jesus say his body and blood is a symbol? Doughy Word Of Life (John 6:41–51). Stop grumbling against Jesus. Jesus is clear. He is the bread of Life that came down sent by the Father. He gives us eternal life by giving his life for us. Hearing Dead Crossover (John 5:18–29). If the Son can do nothing by himself, what can you do by yourself? Just like the Father, the Son raises the dead and gives them life. Spiritually Lame Healing? (John 5:1–18). When asked, “Do you want to get well?” the lame man just sputters explanations and excuses. Sham Worship Confrontation (John 4:16–26). When the Word brings up things you don’t talk about you are being given a mirror to see your true need. Is Above All Twice (John 3:22–36). Jesus gives the authority to baptize to his disciples, the Church.
