Idol worshipers are destroyed by fire, but the worshipers of the One True God are delivered from and refined by fire. However, the faithful are only faithful because of the faithfulness of the Lord.

We take a look into the first chapter and see God is faithful to his people, and that frees us to be faithful to him. Uncompromising in integrity we can also be a blessing to the culture.

As we begin the journey through the book of Daniel it is imparative we take time to understand the historical and literary context. Then we can determine the central truth and live in light of God's Word.

Jesus spends time with his disciples speaking of future events - the destruction of the temple and His return. Through all of this see God's providential rule over everything and our response to hope in Him and be diligent in our following Him.

Who is your Messiah? Your Savior? Is it the one and only Christ? Or someone or something else? Considering who He is and what He has done - working throughout creation and history to gather a people to display His glory to and display His glory through then our only response is like the widow - give our all to Him.

Jesus answered the honest genuine question of a lawyer by revealing the most important command of God - to love Him with all we are and to love others. It seems so simple, yet we struggle. Our only hope to do this well is the gospel - to know and be filled by God's love first and then share His love with others.

In this attempt by the Saducees to expose and embarass Jesus, he responds with Divine authority to not only give insight into the eternal state but to reveal the reality of the resurrection and that not even death can conquer God's relationship with us and His promises to us. This provides a fearless freedom to us to be abounding in God's work knowing our labors are not in vain.

We are to render to Caesar's what is alrady his, and render to God what is his. Looking into the encounter that brought about this significant historical thought will shed some light onto how we are to view our loyalty to America and ultimately to the Kingdom of God.

Mom's are a gift to us from our gracious Father in Heaven. Therefore we honor them just becasue they are mom. How also do we encourage them to overcome fear, anxiety and regrets and help them to see they have a greater identity than just being mom.

We seek to estabilsh our own kingdoms by taking what is not ours and ignoring truth. Still, God is gracious. We are more dependent than we realize. In this Parable of the Tenants Jesus teaches us about our sinful desires being met by the love and grace of God. We see it in God’s patience towards us, his pursuit of us, and his provision for us.

Jesus has the authority as the Son of God to curse and crush fruitless religion and show us what fruitful life in Him looks like - a life of Faith, Prayer, and Forgiveness.

Jesus' mission is complete as He willingly and lovingly lays down his life for sinful humanity and is buried. The text shows us the access we now have to God through Christ and his death immediatly changes the life of an unlikely convert. The death of Christ proclaimed has been changing lives ever since and will continue to do so as we are sent and as we proclaim.

As Jesus moves from trial to the cross, he endures some extreme suffering for the sins of His people. But in the suffering that is joy and victory and hope. In the suffering there is someone who not only suffers for us, but suffers with us.

Jesus the innoncent guiltless one is condemned so we the guilty go free and never sit under the condemenation of God again. What does it look like to live a life free from condemnation?

As the Shepherd is struck, the sheep scatter only to find the Shepherd's grace and salvation waiting for them. Our failures as disciples of Jesus do not define us. Our identity is rooted and secure in Christ.

Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane calls us to take a closer look.

In the week of Passion, the Thursday night before his death, Jesus shared one last meal with his followers. This was no ordinary expereince. Learn with us the significance of this last supper, and the institution of The Lord's Supper.

As we continue through the week of Passion, see Jesus continue to demonstrate His sovreingty over all things and show his love for the one who would betray him.

As Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem we see him boldly announce his identity as the Messiah even though no one got the message. Yet he continued his journey to the cross in confidence and humility.

On this day 44 years ago abortion was legalized in America. Since then nearly 60 million babies have been murdered in our country. Yes. murdered. We are obliged as people of truth to call it what it is, but we can also be grateful for the gospel that brings grace and hope. It is by engaging the culture as people changed by the gospel that we will see the culture change.

Understanding that every human is created in the image of God and that they are worthy of our respect, honor, and dignity how can we also show compassion and mercy to those who have and are suffering racial injustice and inequalities. Today we learn from the parable of the good Samaritan an example of mercy and compassion.
