David praises God joyfully despite what kind of season he's in because God is always faithful to save him. We can have that same lasting joy because of the work Christ did on the cross to save us.

In this Psalm we find an imprecatory lament from King David. He is feeling betrayed, and he shows us how to bring that pain to God. It's shocking, but it is also freeing. The Lord is sovergin over all, and he knows your pain.
