There's no other way to say it - this week was f**king shit. A Showdown loss, injuries mounting, & a very public failure in concussion protocols. David talks about it all, particularly trying to make sense of the outrage around the concussion issue & why while it is of utmost importance, most actually seemed to care more about punishment than anything else. I tried. This wasn't a fun one.

Packed week of news! We lost to Collingwood by 2 points in a heartbreaker, but there were some positives to come out of it (Ben Stokes thinks we won). Willie Rioli got suspended for a love tap & the cowards of the internet showed we have a long way to go in stamping out racism. Also, did the Ramsgate Rumble really happen? Many streaks came to a crashing halt last week as Carlton stomped us on our previously happy hunting ground at Marvel, & we have a big ol top of the table clash coming against Collingwood tonight! Brief little hungover chat about both.

David spent most of the July 4th weekend sauced beyond comprehension, so this podcast is both late & a bit unprepared. But somehow there's still 40-something minutes of semi-decent content, allegedly. Houston miracles, Dixon & Finlayson love, & a little worry about the Suns.  Also f**k the whinging poms in there somewhere as well. All happening. F**k, I need a beer.

Like a loaded foot long sub, this episode is packed full - David's thoughts on the season so far, Miles Bergman puts pen to paper, Choco is rightfully a Hall of Fame, & Port attempt to keep the streak going & beat the bye curse.

Running out of ways to say "jeez that was f**king good wasn't it" with 11 wins in a row now, but wouldn't have it any other way. A bit of a delayed review of our win over Geelong before the bye.

Our Port boys win their TEN-able tenth win on the bounce in another gutsy win over the Dogs at Marvel, & the Cats come to Adelaide Oval with some key players back to provide us a real test before the bye.

David is struggling with allergies, late nights, Knott's Berry Farm hangovers, etc etc etc, but like Jed McEntee at the goal face - somehow gets it done. I'm not sure I would call this podcast a goal, but it's a podcast about our win over the Hawks & our upcoming match against the Dawgs. 

Lotta news around Port this week that David has to distill into one episode, so join in for his usual rambling incoherent thoughts on the win over the Tigs, the upcoming Hawks game, Narkle to the 🍐, our AFLW ladies are back, & the other mob are unironically complaining about NIMBYs.

There was some stuff in the news this week, coaches leaving & all that jazz - well we get a first timer up against us this week, so what better way to welcome him to the fraternity than a beating by Ports?

Dance like 37,565 are watching, Ken! Zak Butters puts on a masterclass as Yartapuulti put Naarm to the sword in a Friday Night Footy classic, & David can't wait to talk about it - no matter what Brodie Grundy says.  🤫 🤫 🤫 

There was no expected fireworks as Horne-Francis was treated with the respect he deserves by his former side, but Port showed no respect when it came to the scoreboard. That's footy. It wasn't a flawless performance, but it was the result we wanted. 

We play North Melbourne this week, apparently there was some off season thing between us? Anyway, here's my thoughts on that and whatever else. Carn the 🍐 

Two months of footy in the books & Port a tentatively in very good position. Along with that David's microphone is working again, so after a week off he's back to assault your ears. Thankfully it's two wins since the last podcast, so it's all gravy baby!

It was raining cats & Footscray Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round, but Port Adelaide for the second week in a row showed grit & passion for the contest & came out with a wet weather dubya!  Gather Round (under an umbrella) & have a listen to me chat about it.

Further commentary following our win over Sydney regarding the direction of our club, with former players & pundits on both sides of the divide.  I just try to find some middle ground in a discussion that sadly is lacking some maturity in some quarters. I don't enjoy talking about this stuff, but I feel it's necessary to at least keep across it. It is just my opinion on the matter.

Actually, any zero sugar soft drink sucks BUT if it works for Ken then f**k it, I'm on board. It was scrappy, it wasn't near perfect, but it was a response. All hail the golden fists of Aliir Aliir!

'member when Port beat Brisbane & we felt good about life? I 'member. I 'member. F**k. I have a cold/allergies as Spring hits here in LA, but I try to reason with two of the most embarrassing performances from Port since... well, last season. F**k. Also we play Sydney this week. F**k.

Port demolished a Premiership fancy in Round 1 after looking like shit in pre-season games. Where the f**k did that come from? Well according to Ken, it came from pre-season. Cool. Wherever it came from, I LIKED it & I talk about it for 40 f**kin' minutes. 

The Bars, The Pylons, The Collingwood jumper (if you're a dumb c**t) - whatever ya wanna call 'em, they're back.  Just a quick little thoughts vomit on what it means for me to see them back, & just how ridiculous it is it got to this point in the first place. Fake news merchants can f**k off.

Don't call it a comeback of the shittest PAFC podcast on the planet, it was just a hiatus. Feelin' rustier than Eddie McGuire waking up after a "WHY WHY WHY THEY GET BLACK AND WHITE?!?" bender, but I have a crack at distilling my feelings going into season 2023. Carn the 🍐
