As we turn our attention to 2023, we look to Ezekiel 47:1-12 to help us reorientate ourselves to what really matters — What's the chief end of man? Answer: To glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

In week 2 of "Travel Light", we look at letting go of bitterness and control. How do we deal with forgiveness and surrendering control? How do we travel light with less baggage and burden and surrender to the glorious ways of the Lord? NOTE: Due to technical issues, the first part of this message is unavailable.

We begin our new Christmas series, "Travel Light." When the weight of the world is on your shoulders, it can feel like you’re going nowhere in a hurry. Shake off the burdens of stress, worry, and regret and find the freedom that comes when you Travel Light.

There are four building blocks of parenting as we train our children in wisdom. The goal in parenting is for us to run to Jesus and His wisdom.

John is brought into the very throne room of God, and while in awe, he tries to use words to help us enter into that experience. John is not just trying to recreate a picture; he wants us to experience an event.

The final church is the church in Laodicea. Of these seven churches, none receives a more scathing condemnation than Laodicea. Here we see a picture of how Jesus feels about a church that is lukewarm in its passion for Him and says in verse 16: “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”

This week we look at the sixth church of seven in Revelation: the church in Philadelphia. In this message, Jesus does not say, "but I have this against you." The church in Philadelphia had not lost its first love. It had remained loyal under pressure; it was not carelessly tolerant of ideas contrary to the Gospel; it boldly confessed Jesus in the marketplace.

Looking at the church in Sardis from Revelation 3:1-6, we find a church that had found itself with a reputation of being alive, but was in fact dead. Like a surgeon, Jesus does open heart surgery on this church—giving them commands to help bring them to life. They grew content with a mediocre, halfway, comfortable, and convenient Christianity. Their faith was not radical; it was almost invisible.

This passage teaches us about the church in Thyatira, a church with a huge problem: there were those within the church who compromised their holiness. Rather than being in the world and not of the world, people thought they could compromise and have the best of both worlds.

We begin our new series called, "Fool's Gold" in the book of Proverbs. There is much wisdom in this book! In this message, we look at Proverbs 1:1-7 and find out where wisdom comes from.

As we look at the first of seven lampstands, we find the church in Ephesus somehow neglected and lost the most important thing: Jesus and the Gospel. They lost their first love. Obedience out of love for Jesus was replaced by obedience out of duty. This is the difference between "Jesus accepts me and I gladly obey" and "I obey and Jesus accepts me."

What will happen on Judgment Day for those who are in Christ and those who are not? It’s a sobering passage as we see the joy for the Christ followers and pain for those who are not in Him.

We begin II Thessalonians where the Apostle Paul boasts about the growing faith, love and hope of the Thessalonian church in the midst of suffering and persecution.

We wrap up the book of I Thessalonians this week by looking at the final 17 verses. Paul gives the Thessalonians 16 final instructions and addresses the pastors, the people and the practice of how these instructions play out in the Church.

We near the end of I Thessalonians, looking at 5:1-11 in this message. The Thessalonian church was concerned about the future, in particular whether they were ready to stand before Jesus and have everything in order for His coming... or as Paul called it, “the day of the Lord.”

This Sunday we are looking at one of the most popular passages in the Bible. At the heart of Paul’s teaching is that God’s promises about tomorrow give us hope for how we face today.

In this message, we examine four ways in which Paul teaches us to stay in our lane: 1. Love each other more 2. Lead a quiet life 3. Mind your own business 4. Work with your hands
