These final chapters of Revelation 21-22 reveal to us the day when all those who are in Christ will leave behind "This is not the way it should be" for good, and enter into the ultimate and eternal "I was made for this" because, in fact, we were made for this. In Revelation 21:1-8, John tells us what we can expect to See, Sense, and Enjoy in the New Heaven and New Earth.

Revelation 18 focuses on Babylon’s destruction – this proud and evil system of worldly desires, lust, pleasures and priorities. If the destruction of Babylon is certain and we live in the age of Babylon and the spirit of Babylon is overwhelming us, our call is to come out and flee Babylon.

Happy Easter! On this Easter morning, we reflect on the resurrection of Jesus by looking at John 11 and how Jesus moved resurrection out of a 'Statement of Faith' and into a Person – the Person of Jesus Christ. The bodily resurrection of Jesus is the most important event in history. In fact, apart from Christ’s bodily resurrection, we have no Saviour, no salvation, and no hope of eternal life.

In Revelation 9, we have very vivid imagery of a terrifying scene where the spiritual realm invades the physical world. Although this chapter is very vivid, there are some crucial truths we need to learn. The great reformer Martin Luther once said, “The devil is still God’s devil.” Consider this statement in light of Revelation 9.

In this message, we explore how to read the book of Proverbs through a Gospel lens. There are two ways to approach this book: one can lead to joy and life, while the other can lead to pride and despair. The opening of the seventh seal in Revelation 8 ushers in the trumpet judgments. As we examine the first four trumpet judgments, the significance of prayer becomes evident in its connection to justice and the end of the age.

Chapter 7 is an interlude before we look at the final seal. In this interlude is a very encouraging message to us as John is given a new vision of how God will keep believers spiritually safe in the final judgement. Chapter 7 answers the question we saw chapter 6 end with. Chapter 6 describes a cosmic meltdown and ends with a very ominous question: Who can stand in the day of the Lord's wrath? 

We complete Chapter 6 by looking at seals 5 and 6... a sobering and necessary look at that great day when every one of us will come face-to-face with the Lamb. We will either stand with Him in His salvation or stand before Him at His judgement. We will either rejoice in His glorious grace or be terrified before His righteous wrath. Grace or wrath? Forgiveness or condemnation?

We begin Revelation 6 through the lens of Revelation 4 and 5. The scroll that the Lamb of God holds in His right hand begins to be opened one seal at a time. This week we are looking at the first four seals and what the seals cause us to fix our gaze upon.

We turn our attention to Revelation 5 and look at the Lamb and the scroll. What the scroll represents are the decrees of God concerning the unfolding of God’s plans of judgment and salvation that were established before the foundations of the world were set in motion by Jesus' death and resurrection.
