In my mind, taxpayers should be in favor of auto-filing and auto-filing tax forms. Their arguments are weak. The only possible reason I can imagine for the CTF to be against it is if they are protecting the lucrative tax filing industry. The tax filing industry has lobbied hard to make sure governments won't do taxes for people.

The US would be lucky to have me and I would love to do more live speaking engagements across the states but the immigration system makes ever working/living in the states improbable. I have experience with the Cayman Islands and Indonesia and they are both simpler and faster.
