This is the story of the birth of a sun… not just any sun, but my first and only: Shayan Raye. This limited series exists for a few reasons: as a virtual journal for this little human to one day hear his story of becoming, as a behind the scenes look into an “unconventional” journey towards motherhood, and as a resource for anyone curious about the complexities, joys, and contradictions of this human experience we are all on. May my lessons and reflections be a gift for those meant to hear it, and someday… for my beautiful, radiant sun.
