The story of Rahab shows us that God's good and gracious display of His unmatched glory should lead us to respond in faith.

In Numbers 20, we see that even though God's most faithful servants still act sinfully, God still can and will use us for His glory.

In Numbers 13-14, we see the people finally arrive at the Promised Land, only to respond in fear and faithlessness.

The sacrificial system explained in Leviticus 1-4 reminds us of God's holiness, our sinfulness and the once-for-all sacrifice of Christ.

The construction of the Tabernacle teaches us about generosity, spiritual gifts and the presence of God among His covenant people. 

Through Israel's idolatry, we see a picture of human wickedness and God's righteous anger and judgment. We also see a picture of grace, justice and an invitation into a close, personal relationship with the God of the universe.
