The Aftermath

Dylan was able to wrangle Chase into hanging out, and with careful planning and a lot of magic, Dylan and I were able to hold him in our dimension for long enough to record a podcast episode. We talked about the recent landscape of gaming. Everything from the remaster of Oblivion, to all the stuff going down with Nintendo with the Switch 2. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Here we are at the finale of volume II and boy was it a lot to take in. We got to learn far, far too much about the fate of Bambi and how truly messed up Gigi is. The gang's all back together literally strapped to a rocket headed to the palace in the sky. Last but not least, we witness Lucifer get banished from Heaven after being actually clapped and called names. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send u...

Now this batch of episodes was excellent! We are really getting into the good fights now. There is a lot on the line, our heroes are getting their Bankai back, and finally start letting them have it. We can’t neglect the fight between Äs and Rukia, especially when her brother steps in. Now that was Art. Beautiful in the most disturbing way. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Welcome back to another installment of The Blood War of a Thousand Years. Today we witnessed a student becoming the master, Ichigo having all his credentials taken away, some deep lore on his mom, and last but certainly not least, the forging of our main man’s new blades. So there are these good guys and they each have a special sword, right, and with that they also have special abilities too. Then one day these other guys show up and start stealing their special abilities. Can you believe it? Don’t worry though, our main man is going to save the day. If only he could get himself out of the interdimensional prison in time. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

We just couldn’t get enough of Captain Tylor, almost as if he’s… Irresistible. Join us on this secret mission entrusted to us by Admiral Mifune himself, if you can believe it. This adventure has everything, war, tension, love, an awesome ballad that the crew sings together thus defeating the enemy with the power of friendship and music. Today we explore the misadventures of Captain Tylor, a carefree, seemingly incompetent leader who unexpectedly becomes the cornerstone of a powerful space fleet. Watch as he baffles enemy forces, and rizzes his way into the hearts of every woman aboard. Is Captain Tylor a genius, or is he just an idiot? Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Well here we are back in the good vibes of an 80’s anime. This time it’s a buddy cop film that hits all the marks for Dylan and I. Team dynamics, cyborgs, exosuits, cassette future vibes, it has it all. All I'm saying is that I want a well dressed, wide back robot companion to hit the clurb with me. "F**k your sleek s**t." -Dylan, Big Bulk 2025 *This message is paid for by the Wide-...

Here we are with yet another Studio Ghibli film, and yet again we have fallen in love with this movie. Even if our main characters and love interests thought they were related for a moment. This movie does a phenomenal job at telling its story with and without dialogue. In the beginning she raises the flags for her dad, but in the end she does it for someone just as special. This team of astronauts is sent to investigate a lost ship out by Neptune, and they quickly discover that the ship has been to Hell and decide to bring back some souvenirs. Chaos, creepy hallucinations, and unsettling body horror, just the standard deep space cosmic horror you’ve come to love, and don’t forget: In this ship, Hell is just a word. Dylan had a big nap tonight, and I’ve had a bunch of work. We got to talk about new Helldiver bomb stuff, and an artist I’ve been checking out on instagram. The Dürglewägler is here and it’s not simply a vehicle or merely a deterrent, but a conceptual weapon of mass destruction. For the low price of $1,000,000 this too could be yours! Beware the wrath of Pyggylyg the Infinite Trickster though. Bro...

Back at it again with the Big G, and this time a Little G too. With special guests Rodan and Mechagodzilla, let’s make some noise! We saw some good clean fun, plenty of butt whoopin’, and last but certainly not least, a group of telepathic star children. So I would say it was par for the course as far as classic Godzilla films go. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

This bug whispering princess and all her people chill out in this hidden valley, when out of nowhere a ship crashes into them and they get attacked by it’s search party. Once she deals with calming down all her Ohmies from destroying her village and the entire world. All my Ohmies hate Kushana. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

For our 250th episode we just chilled out and talked. This episode consists of: Granblue Fantasy, arguing with old people about the weather, and last but certainly not least, having therapy with ChatGPT. So all in all I’d say it was a pretty standard week for us. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Two best friends go on an adventure to find the City of Gold, and make friends with a horse along the way. They run into some locals and quickly become venerated as gods. You know, just a couple dudes being guys. There is this beautiful woman that joins their team, but I shan't speak of her, lest I sin. They sealed the hidden city away, and all lived happily ever after. Our Links: Ian Wolffe...

Welcome to our fifth annual Hjönse Awards! There were a few good contenders for the award this year, but ultimately, as usual, we have come to a consensus. This year we have chosen Speed Racer, the living action adaptation from 2008. For those of you who may not know. This award is given to a film or series that we thought was going to be bad, or had little expectation for, but turned out to be gr...

It’s that time of year again; where we look back on all the games released in 2024, and share our feelings on them. There were a few great games this year that have become regulars in our collection. Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Helldivers 2 to name a few. I made sure to highlight some other big names to talk about as well. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

One of your dad’s archenemies comes back from the dead just to beat you up for crying. It apparently “triggers” him, and reminds him of your dad back when they were young. Then, to make matters worse, he starts beating up your friend and sister-in-law just for being there. What a jerk! Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

It’s hard to believe that someone can hold a grudge from when they were babies, but Broly can, and boy does he hate Goku. As per usual Goku is pretty unaware, while Broly is seething every time he lays eyes on him. Broly is crazy, he literally told these goblin people: “What do you expect from a true freak?” Piccolo help! Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

We’ve got discussions on G Gundam, 80’s Movies, Old Games, and other such tomfoolery. Everything you’ve come to expect from your boys here at The Aftermath. I’m seriously considering making up 7 Gundam Fight International Regulations, but for the podcast. What do you guys think? Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

In this week’s episode we had my brother, The Elusive Second Son, Eric on the podcast again. After we were finished eating Thanksgiving dinner we got to talking and he mentioned doing an episode on this movie which he starred in. We didn’t talk much about the movie, instead we talked more about our history in the film industry. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

We feasted and chilled out while learning about Asura’s Wrath after another long week. Just another vibe with your boys. No Samples, no Medals, no Experience. I don’t have another one in me, man. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

*Crying.* Has your best friend ever been fed up with saving you? Possibly enough to drop you down an endless chasm, after blasting a hole in your chest? Yeah, me neither. Have you ever had a supervisor punch you around and say mean things to you, and because of that you became attracted to her? Yeah… Definitely not me either… Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Join us as we go on an adventure to find The Boy’s step mom, but we get lost along the way in the Sorcerers Tower. Along the way we ran into his fire mom, but much younger. She helps guide us to our Gruncle who has been serving this giant magic rock from the old gods. Everything should be fine, right? Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

The final part of the Patlabor OVA is finally here, and boy is it sad to see it go. Buckle up as we chase down a stolen big rig that gotten stolen again! The payload you ask? Oh, it's just a super cool all red prototype labor. At least it all ends with a happy ending. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail
