The 8 Minute Podcast
Welcome to the 8 minute podcast, where 8 minutes is all it takes to transform your day! During the Covid-19 pandemic, a study revealed that an 8-minute phone call with a loved one could lift people from feelings of low energy, anxiety, or depression, into a state of mindfulness, groundedness, and gratitude. Inspired by this, I wanted to take that concept further—bringing the same impact to a broader audience. And so, this podcast was born: a space where every listener can experience the power of an 8-minute "call"... or podcast. Let's make every minute count. Zoe

Collect the dots to connect the dots 25.08.2025 8:00
In this week’s episode, we will be talking about the art of collecting dots. We often hear people talk about collecting dots, but collecting them is just as important! This week, do something completely new and notice how it can help you if you are stuck! As always, with love, cheers, Z
Truth isn't always loud 18.08.2025 8:00
In today's episode, we touch upon something that we tend to forget: our truth(s) is(are) not always loud. We often hear that "I found my truth", but I think truth is not something to be found, but rather something that we create. Over the years, I know I am not the only one who has learned (and was taught) to "de-trust" myself. What I mean by that is that all the gadgets we are using, the ones tel...
The feeling is old, the choice is new 11.08.2025 8:00
Welcome back to the 8 Minute Podcast! After two weeks off, I am back with another episode! I missed you! Today, I want to share with you a thought I had about change. The fantasy we often contemplate about change: how this process should be accompanied by a huge and rapid transformation; and how change should equate the absence of struggle, is somewhat a fallacy. But here is something that I obser...
What the fear of looking stupid steals 21.07.2025 8:00
What if the fear of looking stupid is the only thing holding you back? In this episode, we explore why your dreams require courage, not perfection — and why being willing to look like a fool might just be your greatest strength. A gentle but firm reminder that some dreams will never bloom unless you're willing to be bad at them first; and that being willing to look and feel like a fool is what...
The freedom of changing who we are 14.07.2025 8:00
What if you could let go of an identity that no longer fits you? What if growth means rewriting the labels you've always clung to? In this episode, we explore the roles and labels we carry — like “I’m a hard worker”, “I’m tough on myself”, or “I’m always the responsible one”. Through solo reflection, life shifts, or quiet moments of honesty, we sometimes discover parts of ourselves we never sh...
Why you can't heal alone 07.07.2025 8:00
We often talk about healing like it's a solo journey — journaling, retreats, morning routines, self-awareness. And whilst those things matter, there’s a truth we rarely say out loud: some lessons can only be learned in the presence of others. You can do all the inner work in the world, but until someone misunderstands you, triggers you, or sees you fully — the real test hasn’t started. Growth isn’...
Expect the unexpected 23.06.2025 8:00
The moments that reshape us rarely knock—they crash in uninvited. In this episode of The 8 Minute Podcast , we explore what it means to expect the unexpected entirely—not with fear or rigidity, but with curiosity, trust and grace. How can we stay open to life’s plot twists without losing our footing? Why do the quiet shifts sometimes matter even more than the big ones? And how do we prepare for tr...

Regression is part of progression 09.06.2025 8:00
Regression might be the most important part of progress. These moments when we go back to old ways of being may just be what we need to have a good look at what we are leaving behind, one last time. I hope this episode makes you cherish those setbacks. I am rooting for you. As always, with love, cheers, Z
Stop waiting 02.06.2025 8:00
Whoever said this is a genius, and I thank them: “if someone is going to appear in your life magically and make it 10x better, this person is going to be you”. This episode is a one shot, not scripted episode. A bit like a long voice memo from a friend. I hope it resonates. Go after your dream life, the one in which you are the most expansive, authentic and aligned version of yourself. As always,...
The skill of the Self 26.05.2025 8:00
What if self-awareness wasn’t something you’re born with—but something you build? In this episode, inspired by a conversation with my father and a powerful metaphor from @arrual.authenticity, we dive into the idea that knowing yourself is a skill. One that’s earned through trial, error and lived experiences. I share personal stories, insights, and a weekly reflection to help you connect more deepl...
Too delulu? Or just the true you? 12.05.2025 8:00
Call it delulu, call it crazy — but what if your “unrealistic” dreams are actually the most real part of you? In this 8-minute pep talk, we are flipping the script on doubt, tuning into childhood joy and embracing the bold, slightly unhinged version of you that just wants to live. You’ll get gentle truth bombs, practical prompts and maybe even a nudge from the universe — because a little boldness...
Listen to the symptoms, discover the root 05.05.2025 8:00
This week’s episode dives into a simple truth that can change everything: it’s rarely about the toothpaste, the late reply, or the missed call. Big reactions often have deeper roots — unspoken needs, old wounds, tender parts of us asking to be seen or held or protected. But it’s not just the hard feelings that carry clues. Peace, joy, lightness? Those are signals too. In this episode, we explore h...
Change your lens, change your life 28.04.2025 8:00
Here are 8 minutes to shift your perspective — and your reality. What if life isn't about what happens to us — but how we see it? In this episode, we explore the simple but powerful idea that every moment — even the messy, frustrating ones — can be an opportunity, an experiment, a game, or even a creation. When you change the lens you’re looking through, you change the world you experience. To...
When it gets busy, stop 21.04.2025 8:00

Written and read as a calming poem, this episode invites you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and remember that rest is not a reward — it’s a rhyt...
We are made of parts 14.04.2025 8:00
This week’s episode feels a little different. I debated whether to record it at all… but I promised to always be honest here — and this is what honesty looks like right now. Lately, I have been moving through a quiet kind of heaviness. Not dramatic, not loud — just still. And in that stillness, I have been holding onto one thought: we are made of parts . That idea, shared by @LucidLeslie, reminded...
Easy comes at a price 07.04.2025 8:00
We all love an easy way out—until it backfires. This week, I learned this lesson the hard way (spoiler: it involves a mixer and a very swollen thumb). But beyond kitchen mishaps, this got me thinking: when does choosing the easy route serve us, and when does it hold us back? Sometimes, we go for what’s convenient—skipping workouts, avoiding tough conversations, or saying “yes” when we should say “...
Free will - use it or lose it 31.03.2025 8:00
Ever feel like you are just going through the motions, following unwritten rules you never questioned? In this episode, we dive into the concept of free will —both philosophically and in our everyday lives. From determinism VS free will to Benjamin Libet’s famous experiments , we explore whether we are truly in control or just acting out of habit. And, most importantly, we bring it back to the sma...

Welcome to this new episode of The 8 Minute Podcast ! Today, we are talking about something that holds many of us back—starting. When is the right time to start? How do we begin? Are we ever truly ready? The truth is, there are no perfect conditions; the perfect condition is simply to start. Taking action, no matter how small, builds momentum, shifts our mindset and opens doors we never expected....
All it takes... is 8 minutes 03.03.2025 7:59
This is the introductory episode of the 8 minute podcast, I wanted to explain the concept the story behind it, and what you can expect moving forward. The idea behind this podcast is pretty simple and straightforward - my goal is to create a space in which we can all pause, and reflect in just a few minutes. Life is so fast-paced and, sometimes, all we need is a moment of clarity or connection to...
