Jesus as our Good Shepherd is seen in two significant ways: he sacrifices for us and he knows us. These two beautiful truths sets Christianity apart from every major world religion and impacts us deeply and intimately. The God of all the universe has sacrificed his life for us and he wants to know us personally! Is there anything more wonderful than that?

In the aftermath of Jesus curing the blind man in John 9 and his expulsion from the synagogue, delineates between good and bad leaders. Jesus himself is a model leader and shepherd and he presents himself as door to salvation. He alone has access to God.

God is very concerned about how we live our lives, but he is concerned with more than just what we do. He is concerned about why we do it.
