Does my life of faith on earth make any difference after I die?

What is heaven like? You might be surprised by what the Scriptures say. Some consider it to be boring and uninviting. In fact, most of us have some unbiblical notions about heaven. Track with us as we allow God to inform us of a glorious future.

Hell is a terrifying thought for those who have comprehended its awfulness. Some people find hell to be too terrible and have made it into something much more domesticated and palatable. In this message, we want to understand from Scripture what hell is really like.

How does a person qualify to go to heaven when they die? That question elicits a number of answers. If there is any question we need to have the right answer to, it is this one. We want to examine the Scripture in probing this important issue.

Death comes to all of us, but what lies behind that shadowy curtain. In our message we probe what God reveals what happens after we take our last breath.

As we begin our new series on heaven and hell we want to understand who has the authority to judge and what justice looks like. Join us as we discover the breadth of the of the judgments of the Lord.

Who is the historical Jesus? Did he claim to be God? Did he rise again from the dead? These are important questions as we evaluate Jesus and his teachings. The resurrection is the cornerstone of the Christian faith and without it everything crumbles. If Jesus really rose again from the dead then what he taught should radically challenge and change our lives!

The claim that Jesus is the only way to God is exclusive and offensive in our modern culture. Yet it is logically consistent and powerful in highlighting the claims of Christ. Christianity is not the only exclusive religion, but it does provide a grace-filled and humble way of dealing with exclusivity.

Christian ethics regarding sex is often regarded as restrictive and a reason to reject the Christian faith based on modern culture. However, God is actually pro-sex and wants us to enjoy this blessing to the fullest. In fact, if we understand the role of sex holistically, it should draw us closer to God instead of away from him.

The question of evil and suffering is often used to disprove the existence of a good God, but in fact it points us towards a good and loving Creator. Moreover, it helps us to comprehend the sacrifice and suffering of Jesus. In fact, the Christian worldview is the only one that provides meaning in the midst of deep pain.

Proving scientifically that God exists is an impossibility. But if we rationally look at the scientific evidence, there is more proof that God exists instead of that he doesn't exist. It takes faith to believe in God, but the evidence that surrounds us can point us in the right direction.

New Year is a good time for an evaluative survey of where we have been and where we want to go. Jesus wants to be a participant in our endeavor. In fact he wants us to put an emphasis on what will stand the test of time and eternity. As we approach this New Year let’s shape the course of our life.

Love is the epitome of what Christmas is about. In this last of Advent themes we will discover what impact God’s love can have on us and on the world. This is truly the spirit of Christmas.

Joy is more than a feeling, but the fruit of our relationship with Christ. It is not dependent on our situation or circumstances, but on what Christ has done for us. During his first Advent, Jesus brought joy to so many people around him. As we reflect back on that first Christmas, we are reminded about the joy that Jesus still brings.

Peace. We all want peace. Especially in a time of upheaval, fear and change. But peace is more than an absence of fear, peace starts with God, then infects the rest of our lives.

Our goal as followers of Christ is to become like our Saviour. Growing believers will more and more resemble Jesus in his character. In this message, we will discover what that looks like and how we achieve it.

Generosity is not an act but a lifestyle. The Lord is calling us to radically live out our faith through radical generosity. In western society we are conditioned to be strong, independent, not reliant on others. God says we are to interdependent, needing each other in our faith journeys. Those who will grow spiritually will do so in part because they are meaningfully connected to other believers.

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings us into a relationship with God and we start to grow spiritually. But it is not just that initial growth that changes us, but there is a continual growth as we declare the gospel to others and are shaped by it on a daily basis. We can do the ordinary by reading God's word, fellowshipping with others, and deepening our prayer life, but we are also challenged to do...

If we are to grow spiritually, we need God’s enablement to do so. What we may not have realized is that to achieve growth God may have to subject us to difficult circumstances. We will discover from Paul’s life that that can include thorns.

One area in our lives that promotes and stimulates growth is personal ministry and service. As we grow we serve and as we serve we also grow. We can tend to view prayer as our talking to God in a one-sided way. In fact prayer is a dialogue, a two way conversation with God in which we respond to his speaking to us. In this message we will help you discover how you can engage with God in such a way that he transforms your life.

Spiritual growth requires feeding on the Word of God. But truth of Scripture not applied is of no use.
