Talking Sh*t

Vet school creates some of the best and most traumatizing stories... here are a few of ours! We hope you enjoy, because some stories make us curl up into the fetal position... until we are offered an icy-cold McDonald's fridge cig (aka a fountain Diet Coke).

Its been almost 3 months of hosting a podcast, righr or wrong, so we figured we'd share a little of who we are. Erika and I LOVE being veterinarians.... but how did we get here? We both came from some non-traditional pathways, so here is our story of getting there!

Today we finally figure out why the chicken crossed the road, with the first-ever podcast guest , Dr. Bailey Carpenter!! Just two hens and a rooster clucking about how important it is to have a fellow flock to lean on.... and a few Pet Peeves Dr. Carpenter wanted to get off her chest! P.S. Did you bring hot tuna (actual fish) into a truck? Have you been late and given a transparent excuse? Have you been buried in your phone? Well, you can fuck right off.... Not Always Super Respectfully, Two non-VCPR Holding vets, just Talk'n Shit JK! It's not always that serious... after some time has passed...

Externships provide education opportunities to students... and vets, especially when a DeepWater Horizon level spill (Blood Spill) occurs...

A 50 50 split between work and personal time is a heaping pile of BULL SHIT... At least for Erika and I. We are far from mastering a work-life harmony, but we try.... a few cold beers don't hurt either (bonus if you can count the number of beers we cracked during this episode)

Erika and I do our best to navigate the shit show that is our lives as bovine veterinarians. Throough shear will and copious amounts of diet coke, we can now laugh at these stores.... Part 1.

Trials need to be repeated constantly to prove the results are real.... Or it worked once, on one calf, and now you are a true believer.

We promise we graduated and are license-holding veterinarians, but we still can go down rabbit holes and have ideas that are not 100% rooted in science.

BVD is the absolute worst, and when it starts destroying your clothes and body, a conversation has to be had.

We will deny every driving home naked in a court of law... but sometimes shit happens!

Erika and Spencer try their hand at a super unique and original venture... a podcast. They don't know what they are doing, but they KNOW they are doing it well (it's really never that serious).
