Sunflowers: Grow through what you Go through
Sunflowers: Grow Through What You Go Through is a podcast I’ve created to share the parts of my story that shaped me — the trauma I carried from childhood into adulthood, the work it took to face it, and the healing that continues to unfold. This isn’t just a series of memories. It’s a look at the tools, support, and inner strength that helped me grow through some of my darkest seasons. My hope is that anyone listening — friends, coworkers, my professional community, and especially those navigating their own recovery from childhood trauma — will feel seen, encouraged, and a little less alone....

Every ending has a beginning 25.05.2026 49:54
🌻 Season Finale: Sunflowers Grow Through What We Go Through This episode is a soft landing — a reflection, a threshold, a moment to honor everything this season held. A season about roots, weather, becoming, and the quiet work that happens underground long before anything blooms. This space has always been for honesty, for metaphor, for the slow and sacred work of becoming. As the episode says, “...
It's not a crisis, it's a tower falling 18.05.2026 24:09
Sometimes what looks like a midlife crisis is actually a tower moment — a season where something in your life falls apart, but really it’s falling away because it can’t come with you anymore. These moments are not just about the breaking. They’re about the grief that comes with it. Grief for who you used to be. Grief for who you hoped they were. Grief for the life you thought you were building. Bu...
Mother’s Day, My Shifting Perspective. 11.05.2026 28:35
Mother’s Day can be beautiful—and it can also be complicated. For many, it isn’t a celebration at all: it can bring grief, estrangement, infertility or loss, and the ache of a mother relationship that was never safe. If this season feels tender for you, I just want to say: I see you, and you’re allowed to protect your peace. In my newest Sunflowers episode, I share how my relationship with Mother’...
No One Is Coming—Until You Do 04.05.2026 47:04
Some of us don’t need another “just be positive” pep talk—we need a way out of the cycle. In this episode, I talk about the moment I realized I was the one I was waiting for—and how self-rescue is built in tiny proofs: boundaries, mental space, and keeping small commitments to yourself. I share how trauma can wire us to catastrophize, turn one mistake into a verdict, and self-sabotage when we feel...
My silent wins 27.04.2026 26:21
Some victories are private on purpose. In this raw, memoir-based episode, I talk about what it means to celebrate wins in silence when you’ve lived in dynamics where every good choice was either taken from you—or you were shamed, blamed, and made to feel like you weren’t enough, then reminded to “be responsible” even in the middle of your joy. I also share how this shows up around birthdays—when a...
Triggers, and the Body That Remembers 20.04.2026 40:13
In Triggers, and the Body That Remembers, we unpack what triggers really are: your nervous system sounding the alarm, even when you’re safe now. We talk about how trauma shows up in the body, the core trigger themes (abandonment, being overridden, emotional invalidation), and how those patterns can shape adult relationships and parenting. You’ll also hear the tools that helped me grow through it—b...
What about me? 13.04.2026 38:34
For most of my life, I was taught that my needs came last. This episode explores the moment I finally asked, “What about me?”—and what happened when no one had an answer. Choosing myself wasn’t selfish; it was survival. Like a sunflower, I stopped growing toward approval and started growing toward the light. 🌻
You’re so controlling 06.04.2026 32:55
Dedication or control? I’ve been called “controlling.” The translation? “I can’t manipulate you anymore.” With CPTSD, you learn to read between the lines. And when you’ve been controlled for a long time, healthy boundaries get labeled as “mean,” “controlling,” or “no fun.” Right now, my dedication looks like structure I can control: the gym, eating right, and taking my health seriously—because I’m...
Being Family is a Team Sport 30.03.2026 39:34
This episode is about redefining family. About leaving systems that demand silence and building something better in their place. I talk about family as a team—where belonging comes before obedience, mistakes become information, and difference is the strength. It’s about growing, learning, and building something new together—and how that’s what truly brings families closer.
The Cost of Being the One Who Sees 16.03.2026 40:43
Being the one who sees comes with a cost. In this episode, I talk about moving from why did this happen to who am I becoming—and how truth, boundaries, and grief shape a life that no longer requires self‑betrayal. A reflection on clarity, loneliness, healing, and learning to use fire to illuminate instead of burn.
How I do it. 09.03.2026 39:27
In this episode of Sunflowers: Grow Through What You Go Through, I pull back the curtain on the “how” behind my strength, my resilience, and the way I move through the world. What looks like capability on the outside was shaped by layers of childhood trauma on the inside—trauma that forced me to become hyper‑responsible, hyper‑aware, and fiercely independent long before I ever should have needed t...
The memories we don't remember 02.03.2026 37:05
In this deeply personal episode, I explore the invisible roles we inherit before we’re even born and how the environments we enter shape who we become. I talk about growing up without loving memories shared by my parents—no warm stories, no tender moments, nothing soft or comforting unless I specifically asked. That silence became its own kind of wound, one that followed me into adulthood and into...
The Calling 23.02.2026 33:38
This episode comes from a heavier, more honest place. Many of us are carrying a global grief right now — the kind that forces us to see the truth more clearly than we’d like. That clarity can break us open, and in those moments, we have to offer ourselves grace. None of us are meant to hold the world’s pain alone. What I’ve learned is that our individual power still matters, especially in overwhel...
Freedom and Inner Child Healing 16.02.2026 46:41
In this episode, I’ll explore what it truly means to claim freedom in your life by healing the parts of you that learned to stay small. Sunflowers invites you into a conversation about finding your voice—your real one—and letting it guide you toward a more honest, liberated way of living. Through the lens of inner‑child healing, this episode celebrates the courage it takes to speak openly about yo...
Your Testimony 09.02.2026 51:08
In this episode I'll talk about how your voice is a force for healing, clarity, and connection This conversation dives into what happens when you finally speak your truth—especially the parts shaped by pain, silence, or being misunderstood. Naming your experiences becomes a turning point. It’s not just expression; it’s reclaiming who you are. Letting go of old, limiting mindsets opens room for con...
Grow through what you Go through 02.02.2026 42:42
In this episode I'll talk a little about who I am and my background. I'll touch upon some of the things that have helped me recover and heal from my own childhood trauma. I'll talk about my family dynamics and how that has affected me as a person. How growing up with a narcissistic mother has also affected me as a person as how healing from that looks.
