In order for the people of God to accomplish the purposes of God they must first humble themselves, confess their sin, and take hold of God’s divine resources by thankfully asking for His favor, provision, and power. God sovereignly preservers a remnant of His people and raises up leaders to shepherd them in accomplishing His purpose to establish His kingdom through the redemption accomplished in the the person and work of the promised Messiah. Those who fear God are quick to acknowledge their sin, not only the commission of sin, but also the true guilt that sin brings, and so they humbly cry out to God for His mercy and lovingkindness, apart from which they would surely perish. God sovereignly works to bring good for His people in all circumstances, but especially through faithful men who are committed to understanding, applying, and teaching the truths of the Word of God. Jesus is the resurrected Savior, the Living One, who has conquered death and bestows the blessing of life, hope, joy, and salvation upon all who repent of sin and trust exclusively in Him.
