As Christians, what is one of the BEST ways we can share the truth of God with others? By living out HIS Word. You see, as we commit our lives to the Lord...as we submit to His holy instructions, others will SEE the work of His grace in our lives! We're to be living, breathing testimonies of God's goodness.

How do we determine who to ordain or hire as a Pastor? What are the qualifications? You see when choosing a Pastor, we can't base our decision on who's the best public speaker is...or who has the best personality. It's not a popularity contest! A pastor should be chosen because he was FIRST selected and ordained by GOD.

In our lesson today we'll look at the idea of giving. Now this could mean the giving of your time...your talents...or even financially. Pastor Terry will share with us when it's appropriate to give...and when it's not. Of course this isn't a man-made system we go by, but we do all things according to the way GOD has established them.

Believer, did you know that YOU have been gifted? Do you realize that God wants YOU to serve in HIS ministry? It's true! We weren't saved for ourselves. We were saved to bring God glory...AND to spread the truth of God's love to others. So don't believe the lie that you have nothing to serve God with! Seek Him to find out how HE would like to use you.

How can we steer clear of the lies of the enemy? How can we keep ourselves from being deceived? It's simple, by clinging to the WORD of God. You see, whenever you're presented with new information...hold it up against the Scriptures. See if it's in line with what GOD has said. If you find that it's in OPPOSITION to His Word, then reject it.

In the Scriptures, we hear of people who took the Word of God, and added to it. And beyond THAT, they taught that in order to be saved, one must keep THEIR man-made laws...as well as GOD'S. This couldn't be FURTHER from the Truth! Man's laws, traditions and doctrine can NEVER save a person. Salvation only comes through the LIVING Word of God...which is Jesus.

Are you called to serve? For EVERYONE...the answer to this question is YES. You see, God desires that we ALL have the heart of a servant. He wants us ALL to be apart of HIS ministry. But we need to ask ourselves: Where am I called? How has God gifted me? You see, we can't just pick and choose, at random, where we want to serve. We're to allow GOD to dictate such things.

As believers, we understand that God's Word is true. What we should also realize is that there's NOTHING equal to it. In our lesson today we'll learn how, throughout the years, man has taken traditions and man-made laws and ELEVATED them. We've made them equal to the Word of God. But this can't be! The Scriptures are the only Word to live by.

Well, in our message today we'll learn that it's GOD who determines where and in what capacity a person should serve. He has specific qualifications that we're to go by.

As a society, we've become desensitized. The things we listen to... the images we see...none of them phase us today. We've become a people who have no shame or idea of REAL modesty. Our clothing, music and merchandise is all geared toward wickedness. Why is that? How could we have gone downhill so quickly? It's simple. We've chosen to IGNORE God's Word.

God's ways are not our ways. His wisdom...His thoughts...are higher than ours. And because we are human...because we still have to deal with our flesh, we'll struggle, from time to time, with clarity in His Word. So believer, if you're EVER struggling for understanding, if you're unclear as to what God is trying to say...just ASK Him.

God has given us all that we need to live as His children. He has given us clear instructions as to how we're to function, both individually, as well as within the body. Well in today's message, we'll learn the specific rolls that God has given us as men and women. And when we operate according to HIS specifications, we'll experience unity.

It's easy to fall into the rut of simply praying for people's needs. We ask God to do all sorts of things for ourselves and those around us. And though that's not necessarily bad, our focus in prayer should be that we and those around us would be drawn closer to the LORD...either in our daily walk with Jesus or for the very first time to be saved.

Today Pastor Terry touches on a very basic, yet overlooked subject in the church. Prayer. This simple act is so often overlooked. And yet, we'll learn today that prayer should be one of the core components of our lives as individuals AND as corporate bodies. So, why isn't prayer more important?

In today's message we'll be discussing the life of Paul. What we will learn from it is that God can save ANYONE. It doesn't matter what you've done...it doesn't matter where you've been. If you truly desire to live a life committed to the Lord...then He is ready and waiting to receive you. All we must do is repent and turn from your old sinful ways.

Where does salvation come from? How can we attain it? Well according to the Scriptures, there's no way for us to earn our salvation. In fact, it is a FREE GIFT from God. So when others come to you with a list of MAN-MADE rules, regulations and traditions... when they claim that you're not a REAL Christian if you do not keep them...be leery believer, that's a lie.

What is your faith based upon? Where do you find truth? The answer is...the Word of God. So believer, when you're sharing the message of hope in Jesus with others, be sure that your words are from God. Don't try to capture their attention with stories, dreams, signs and wonders. You see, if faith comes by hearing the Word, then it's the WORD we should be sharing.

There's a bit of confusion in the world of Christianity today. There are some who believe that being a Christian consists of a one time prayer, and then we're free to live as we please. But that's simply NOT the case! As believers, we're to be FOLLOWERS of Jesus. He is our Savior. He is our King! And it's HIS Word that we are to live by.

As humans, it's easy to compare ourselves with others. We look at our sin while holding it up to those around us. The hearts of murders, thieves and adulterers...in our eyes, are more dark than ours. We think they are FAR more deserving of hell than we are. But the truth is that there is only ONE standard. And we have ALL failed to meet it. We ALL need a Savior.

Water Baptism is a way of identifying yourself with Jesus. It's YOU proclaiming your faith in HIM. Baptism is a picture, an outward sign of what has already taken place in your heart. It is an individual, public proclamation of your new life in the Lord. And while water baptism does not SAVE YOU, it is STILL an important step we're to take as believers.

Water baptism is very important. The Scriptures can confirm this truth. But it's imperative that we grasp the following concept: Water Baptism doesn't save you. You see, salvation only comes as a free gift from God. So then...since we're saved...are we to ignore the commands of the Father? Certainly NOT! We chose to obey because we know it pleases Him.
