Good news/bad news: stouts are gaining in popularity,.. which means they also run out faster at brew fests. We ran into some old favorites that were new to others and some just plain new ones, including a white stout at the California Brewers Association Festival in Sacramento.

Urban Roots celebrated its first anniversary with seven stouts on tap including six in its "Mustache" line.

A couple of new co-hosts and a mix of new and established stouts mark this episode of the Stoutcast, and a phenomenal imperial that the Urban Roots brewer is hiding from the public, though not for long.

You can have your New Year's streamers and ball drops. The folks at Fifty Fifty celebrate their new year of Eclipse, barrel-aged stouts with a party in the frozen Sierra Nevada mountains of California. And this year, they do it under a giant sign that says "Great American Beer Festival Brewery Group Of The Year."

Sure the Ruskies have been meddling in our elections, but they also make some good beers...or can. Are the four in this episode enough to stand up for 'Merica?

With every beer festival comes an increasing number of stouts. Bob bit the bullet and tried them all. Poor Bob.

Bob and Clarence, childhood friends, hang out in their hometown with some good and not-so-good imperial stouts.

Bob and world-renowned artist Robert Gauthier team up with the brewmaster at 1850 in Mariposa, CA to sample four milk stouts: Firestone, Electric, Belching Beaver and Left Hand and the host's coffee stout. The word "excellent" was thrown around a lot today.

Bob and Glenn check in from Rogue Hall on the Portland State campus and try out a Rogue Ales double chocolate, oatmeal, and a mix of a stout and a hazelnut porter, then Bob hits the bottle back home.
