Story Time

**NSFW WARNING**  This week, Michael decided to really change the direction of some episodes of Story Time by bringing David a very...different type of story than we're used to. By the time David figures out Michael is reading him erotica from 1879 England, it's too late. Be sure to have your headphones on as we learn at least 5 more terms for penis than we expected to!

This week Michael has brought the original version of the "classic" story of Aladdin... and David hates it. Find out everything the movies left out, and why it's definitely a good idea that they did! Fair warning, Aladdin is the WORST.

Michael is back with another Grimm Brothers fairy tale, and boy oh boy does David have issues with this one.  Michael learns to regret not looking up words and David finally gets a story prediction (sort of) right! Also beware, extremely light and/or old Game of Thrones spoilers hinted at in this episode. Just saying.

It's time for adventure! David is back with more Greek myths, this time the classic fetch-quest that is Jason and the Argonauts. Michael faintly remembers seeing a movie about this as a kid, then is horrified at what he had forgotten. Special guest cameos from many of your favorite mythical heroes!

Michael returns with one of the most misleading story titles we've had yet, and David doesn't like the lessons it tries to teach him. Come learn to distrust your step-parents, throw up some gold or toads, and figure out how on earth you'd make a paper dress all in this weeks' story!

David is back with more Greek & Roman myths, and the theme this week is Love.  Michael learns what a Zephyr is, David learns there's a song about it, and Pygmalion learns nothing (you'll see). 

Michael is back with another Grimm Brothers story, and lie any good story it has the devil in it! A harrowing tale of someone who floats through life effort free, just like the rest of us!

Michael brings David a little known Han Christian Andersen tale, and boy is it a doozy. David admits his hatred of horses, we learn what a sexton is, and Michael makes too many editing demands of David (who does them anyway).  There's always a chance for a scheme in this week's episode!

David is back and *gasp* he's not telling a Bible story! Michael starts learning everything he didn't know about the ancient Greek myths! From Athena to Zeus, discover the (numerous) cast of gods, titans and more. Plus, as many versions of the creation story as we can manage to fit!

Michael couldn't resist doing another Japanese folk-tale, and David doesn't understand why any of it happened.  Lies are told, liars are tortured (sometimes), and David hates the protagonist in this week's episode!

The boys finally arrive at the end of the Old Testament! God is not happy in this one,  and somehow unsurprisingly Michael and David get a little too excited about Beast Wars. 

Michael has a classic story for David in this week's Story Time,  and David thought he knew some of it already... and was very wrong. Be careful thinking you know who the main character of this one is, you just might be surprised!

David's back with more Bible, and he's been waiting for these stories since the beginning! Three stories of loss, miracles, and bets taken too far as Michael learns that God can never be wrong no matter what.

Boy oh boy, it's another Japanese folk tale and this one has murder aplenty! Listen as Michael basically tells David the origin of the Crab version of a certain caped vigilante, and we learn just how far a rag-tag gang of animals and objects can go if they work together. 

David is back with the story of Esther as we finally get a Bible story about a woman! Michael gets fired up about many things, and David really doesn't want to get @'ed (even though he never has been).

Michael found a  fancy collection of all the Grimm's Brother's tales, and has brought David two stories with a common theme- the number three.  Can David predict what will happen (no, not really)? Will Michael pronounce everything right (no definitely not)?  Are there any girl snakes?? Find out here (maybe)!

David is back with the next part of the Bible, the story of King David's son, the wisest man. But first, a story Michael was promised last time. Then the adventures of the prophets Elijah, not to be confused with (but probably confused with) Elisha.

Michael is back with another Japanese folk tale, and David gets hung up on one very particular detail. Come under and over the sea with us!

David is back with the next part of the Bible and this time it's the story of...David. Michael is surprised by double the foreskins, and David didn't prepare for everything Michael wants to know.

Michael is back and this time he's brought a few variations of the same story. David thinks he's clever for making Pokemon references, but learns a valuable lesson.

Michael and David are joined by their very first guest, Rashad, to learn the story of the prophet Muhammad and Quran. David doesn't know a gee dee thing about any of it, and Michael can't remember any of the names. 

David and Michael are back with more of the Bible, but something's a little...different this time around. Michael learns about "The Judges" and David finally gets to tell a super hero story. Plus, a long list of names David can't pronounce!

Michael's back with an Arabic folk tale of cunning and wit, and David listens almost politely while he wrestles with the unwieldy translation.  Who knew Ghools had so many rules?  Plus: a thank you to our first fan email!
