In this final episode of Stories for Life, season 1, we wrap up the story of Jesus appearing to his disciples from Luke 24:36-53. And we are left with a challenge: preach repentance to the nations. 

As Jesus finally reveals himself to his disciples after the resurrection in Luke 24:36-53, he reminds them once again that God's Word is reliable. 

In the final story in the book of Luke, Jesus appears to his disciples. We learn from Luke 24:36-53 that Jesus invites us to experience him. 

Jesus' conversation with two travelers on the Road to Emmaus in Luke 24:13-25 show us that this is a message worth sharing. 

On the Road to Emmaus, two Jesus followers unknowingly get in a conversation with Jesus about the events of his crucifixion. As we explore this story from Luke 24:13-25, we recognize the need to believe God's Word. 

In Luke 24:13-35, we learn about two followers of Jesus who travel to Emmaus. On the way, Jesus walks along with them, but they don't recognize him. What he teaches them along the way is eye-opening, including that he is all over the Bible.

Luke records the good news of Jesus' resurrection from the dead in Luke 24:1-12, showing us that Jesus is living and risen. 

As we continue studying the Resurrection from Luke 24:1-12, we learn to look for what God is doing. 

We have come at last to the story of Jesus' Resurrection! In this passage from Luke 24:1-12, we are challenged to remember and believe Jesus' words. 

As we continue learning about Jesus' death and burial from Luke 23:44-56, we see that Jesus followers move forward with faith, courage, and obedience, even in the darkest moments. 

We've come to a very somber story at the end of Luke 23--Jesus' death and burial. Here in verses 44-56, we see that judgment and access to God connect at the cross.

We take one more episode to explore the Crucifixion from Luke 23:26-43, and we realize that we benefit from Jesus' death. 

Even as Jesus was being crucified, he prays, "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." In this episode, we explore what Luke 23:26-43 teaches us about forgiveness and we see that Jesus is amazingly merciful. 

As we continue to look at the crucifixion from Luke 23:26-43, we recognize that Jesus saved us instead of himself. 

Luke packs a lot of intense details into the story of Jesus' crucifixion from Luke 23:26-43, including his last, public teaching. In it, we learn that we should weep over sin.

Here in the story of Jesus' sentencing in Luke 23:13-25, we meet a criminal named Barabbas. As Jesus takes his place and death sentence, we see how we are Barabbas. 

As we continue to look at Jesus' sentencing before Pilate in Luke 23:13-25, we witness the crowd making a horrible trade: Jesus for Barabbas. And we are challenged to not trade Jesus for anything else.

In Luke 23:13-25, we find Jesus' sentencing, when Pilate hands Jesus over to be crucified. As we look at Pilate's role in this, we see that inaction does not make us innocent.

Jesus' trial in Luke 22:66-23:12 reveals to us that he is the honored, undefeatable, everlasting King.

As we continue studying Jesus' trial in Luke 22:66-23:12, we see that Jesus does not bend to other people's wills. 

In Luke 22:66-23:12, we find the first part of Jesus' trial. In spite of the religious' leaders best efforts to have him condemned, we see that Jesus is innocent. 

The story of Peter's denial of Jesus in Luke 22:31-34 and 54-62 is pretty heartbreaking. But it's not hopeless. In today's episode, we see that failture is not the end of the story. 

As we continue the story of Peter's Denial from Luke 22:31-34 and 54-62, we learn from Peter's example that we cannot save ourselves. 

In Luke 22: 31-34 and 54-62, we learn about Peter disowning Jesus. This heartbreaking story shows us that we need to believe what God says about us. 

The scene at Jesus' betrayal on the Mount of Olives in Luke 22:39-53 seems chaotic and out of control. Jesus acknowledges that it is an hour of darkness. And yet we see in it that God restrains the darkness.
