Steward Alumni Podcast

Harry caught up with two entrepreneurial young alumni: Alex Fabiato ’19 and Ryan Odibo ’18. Both have day jobs as well as their own businesses…and big plans for the future.

In our first remote interview, Natalie Bendheim ‘14 talked with Harry about her life in Los Angeles and her work in the acting/producing/screenwriting world. Two student co-hosts – aspiring actresses Emory Burns ‘27 and Claire Stuckey ‘27 – joined Harry for the second half of the conversation. Grammy Award-winning music producer Michael Congdon ’00 invited Harry to chat at In Your Ear Studios in downtown Richmond. (Note: This episode includes a conversation about music artist Chris Brown but does not reference his criminal convictions.) 

On the sixth annual Alumni Inspiration Day, Harry sat down for interviews with guests who were students in two different millennia: Graham Hickerson ‘89, who first entered Steward in 1976, and Caroline Willhite ‘18, along with her mom, first-grade teacher Sabra Willhite, who has been at the school since 2000. 

The Class of 2020 held its fifth reunion on Steward’s campus during the holidays. Harry joined the party to have quick conversations with reunion coordinators Bri David and Olivia Koerner, plus Emma Connelly, Will Eiben, Charlie Fowler, Scottie Gilg, Cameron Jarvandi, Joe Shaia, Kendall Shamus, and Leah Weinstock.

Former Athletic Director Janet Rice, who spent her entire 33-year career at Steward, swaps stories with Harry.

Harry gets the inside scoop during a walking tour of campus with the director of technology, who has been at Steward (as a student and staff member) since 1979. 

Harry sits down with Alumni Achievement Award winner Khoa Tran ‘12, who traveled from Vietnam to be the featured speaker at Convocation, and his classmate Preston Huennekens, who drove from Kentucky to see his friend accept the award. 

Harry and his daughter (guest co-host Maddie Baron ’32) talk with Harry’s classmate, Corbin Brierre Ryland ’01, and her son, incoming fifth grader Cooper Ryland ’33.

Harry tackles myths, legends, and history with retired teacher Ian Coddington, who was at Steward from 1984-2008.

In honor of College Declaration Day on May 1, Harry sits down with Heather Jeter, director of college counseling, and Braeden Glancy ‘15, administrative assistant in the College Counseling Office. 

Just in time for March Madness, Harry talks with Adam Lonon ‘06, athletic director and varsity girls basketball coach at Trinity Episcopal School. 

This episode was recorded on stage at the annual Board, Faculty, Staff Program. Three Steward couples (John Keefe ‘15 and Ally Dods Keefe ‘16, Frazer Orgain ‘95 and Corbin Adamson Orgain ‘96, Graham Hickerson ‘89 and former staff member Barbara Werderman Hickerson), each of whom met at the school, played “The Stewlywed Game” with guest host Jimmy Benson ‘92.
