Zen Garden 30.06.2026 5:17
A calm, meditative song. Lyrics: Verse 1: Morning on the back steps Tea gone cold in the cup Tracing the circles in the sand Pebbles and stones break [up Trail across the gravel I’m standing here alone Mysteries that unravel At the lake where I skim the stones Chorus: Zen Garden Calm my restless mind Zen Garden Leave my troubles behind Zen Garden Place where I choose to stay Zen Garden Soothe my t...
Genius Is Pain 09.06.2026 5:54
Genius Is Pain Verse 1: One thing I have learned. Genius is pain You pick your self off the ground. Just to be knocked down again One thing you must know You have to face the truth The wisdom of your age Is not wasted on the youth Chorus 1: There is music to be found In the sweet sound of birdsong There is poetry in everyday conversation There is beauty all around you just have know where to find...
Hopeless Case 28.05.2026 4:39
A love song. The central theme is how uncoordinated and hopeless I am round the subject of my affections. Here are the lyrics. Hopeless case I lost all trace of reason since I met you Hapless clown defences down how easily I let you Get under my skin and I'm free falling hear you calling my name And I have no explanation for this strange situation I am just a hopeless case hopelessly in love with...
Bald Architect 09.05.2026 4:46
Bald Architect is a slow, heartfelt ballad about friendship, distance, and the quiet ways time reshapes the people we once knew. The song traces the life of Terry — a schoolfriend from days of technical drawing classes, lunchtime guitars, and the feeling that the future was wide open. Built around a gentle piano foundation and a shimmering electro‑sitar riff inspired by the Chi‑Lites’ Have You See...
Templeton On Sea 06.04.2026 5:38
The song is about visiting my favourite English seaside town in winter when it's quiet and enjoying the peace and tranquility.
Alien Landscape 14.03.2026 5:58
"Alien Landscape" is a metaphor for how broken down and derelict a city looks late at night when the pubs and clubs all chuck out.
Bad Timing 07.02.2026 3:56
The song is about a person's inability to always be in control of fate and luck and to accept how things fall sometimes and go with the flow.

A song about society's troubled relationship with new technology. Chorus: Artificial stupidity Technology is making me look stupid Highlighting my inability In a brave new world Verse 1: I tried to open the thing on my computer But it was having none of it There was a problem with the software on the router I couldn’t get the app to quit I tried calling tech support to get assistance There was no...

Icarus 23.10.2025 5:25
The song references characters from greek mythology as a metaphor for all the wrongdoing in the world. Lyrics Verse 1: Icarus flew too close to the sun Wax and wings melted and he was done Prometheus stole his fire from the gods Breaking up rocks against the odds Reflection that stares too long at the stream Drown in the depths of our own dream Writing our notes and thoughts in bars Shooting the b...

One Of Those Days 04.11.2019 4:14
This is a very old song that I have updated with a different feel as well as writing some new lyrics and a middle 8. All of the the things in this song have happened to me me at one time or another, just not in the same day ;)
Merry Go Round 16.07.2018 4:33
Based around an XTC riff. I thought it sounded discordantly uneasy like when you want to get off a merry go round (It's a metaphor).
West London Boys 08.01.2017 5:02
I wanted to write a song about my football team QPR. I wanted to avoid the usual "we are the greatest team the world has ever seen" cliche (we clearly aren't). I ended up reminiscing about growing up in West London and attending games and tried to describe the events and emotions. It's kind of difficult.
Positive Outlook 13.12.2016 4:26
Updated version of this song with Moog synth and improved guitar sounds. Also has my wife (who is an infinitely better singer than me) doing backing vocals
