Steel City Round Table Podcast
SCRT podcast was an idea that I shared with a close friend of mine Ken “Finn” Finnigan. I came out of alcohol rehab in July of 2023. Finn had been one of my biggest supporters and we talked everyday. In October of 2023 we decided to make it happen and start a podcast based on helping others who were struggling. Unfortunately Finn was killed on his motorcycle on 6/1/2024. Before Finn left us he introduced me to a friend of his Kelly “Kells” Gibson. At the time Kells was in the early stages of her recovery from an opioid addiction. Kells and I hit it off immediately and became family. All three...

Three years sober and everyday is an adventure. When I started my sobriety journey all I was concerned with was ending my self imposed prison. I wanted to find a way out of the miserable existence I had shaped for myself. I did not know what to do, I just knew something had to change. The further along my journey I went, the more I evolved as a person internally. My decisions, action, thoughts and...
A drunk and a truck, Life on the road. 29.04.2026 41:04
Give me a big truck, a mic and a thousand miles and I am content. It's a long throw from when I was in active addiction. I could not stand to be alone with myself, my thoughts, and my emotions. I get to share my thou...

Keep living the life I had created, or take a chance that there was a better reason to start living. I chose t...

Police Use of Force Barney style and the death of Alex Pretti 11.02.2026 1:01:01
Recent events in Minnesota raise a ton of questions related to ICE/CPB use of force application enforcing the Immigration policies. Use of force is probably the most difficult aspect of law enforcement to exercise. Case law such as Tennessee V Garner and Graham V Connor lay it out fairly clearly. The cases set the basis for reasonable and objective use of force and when deadly force is lawful. In...

Breaking Down the Chaos: Beyond Blanket Statements and navigating daily life. 24.07.2025 1:10:58
Natalie’s back home at the SCRT! In this episode, I’m a bit riled up about a post I saw recently. It really bugs me when smart people say really stupid things. It’s even worse when they’re criticizing law enforcement as a whole. Making sweeping generalizations is a sign of closed-mindedness and the inability to think through the problem logically. Do you want to be a follower or a leader? Do the w...

In this episode Natalie and I go head to head discussing cops and attorneys. We all choose our path through this world. Cops and attorneys are no different. Everything you do is criticized, second guessed and picked apart piece by piece. Does thi...
