Welcome home to our beautiful queen kitty, Miss Isabella, aka Bella. She is sooooo cute and we can't get over how hilarious it is to have a cat in the house again.

As we all grow, learn, and change, here are some things we enjoy doing together as a family- like going to music shows, playgrounds, and spending time with the larger family. We also all enjoy doing things separate from each other to fill our own cups.

Welcome to Season 2 of Starlight Mama Podcast! We're in a new place, new city, and a new year... and we're thrilled to be back with you to discuss all things family, parenting, and homeownership.

The continued trials and many errors of parenting that happen in the throes of the threes... Finding ways to make sure that all of our son's buckets are filled and that he's eating and sleeping enough to be able to function at his best level. Sounds easy, but it's been a series of challenges and learning. Three has also indeed been one of the sweetest times of our lives... and the dichotomy is ast...

We have started the tireless work of teaching manners to our son... and here are some updates on how it's going so far. Pleasantries, how to act respectfully, and how to handle not always getting our way... these are a few of the things he's learning more about.

The ups and downs of the eating habits of a three-year-old... even some surprising things that he won't touch, that most kids go for as a first choice! Curious - are there any go-to things your kids will eat every time?!

Just a few thoughts on the types of love we experience as humans... happy day of love!

Happy 20th Episode! Celebrating the joy of reading and sharing some recent favorite authors, what kinds of books I can't get my mind around right now, and some all-time favorite authors and books that I can't stop re-reading.

Finding that balance between home and work, family and friends, and keeping yourself grounded. There are so many aspects to our work- the home-work starts when the kids wake up and ends when they go to bed. The career-work happens in between, and finding the time and space to take care of everything can be a challenge.

All the joys and terrors of traveling with a toddler... from the airplane mini-meltdown, to the the ever-present food strikes... we experienced it all on our recent airplane travel to our old stomping grounds in Austin.

From misheard song lyrics, to profound pronouncements, to an abundance of silly sounds around the house... these are the things that are keeping us in the giggles these days.

Throwing all shapes and kinds of spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks... or doesn't in the world of toddler moments. Meltdowns in the bathroom, at nap time, and pretty much anytime- and how we are learning to handle things better, with time. We've got to go with the flow.... and let it go!

A sweet and heart-warming chat with one of my Mom Tribe and long-time friends, Julie Kirkpatrick. Reminiscing about the good old days from trying to conceive, to when our babies were newborns... and all the way up the present, as Julie's oldest is now about to turn eight years old and her youngest, at 17 months, is ready to be just like his big sis.

From the mouths of babes... what silly and strange things can emerge in this phase of childhood! Anything from how our bodies work, to dancing, to a new era of play-pretend, the three-year old wants to know it all.

Thinking way back.... to holidays from the far past and the more recent past. What traditions are meaningful and important for you and your family these days?
