One day in the not to distance future, Roger Federer is going to have to retire from tennis.  Federer is 37, and is the oldest and most accomplished player on the circuit today.  He is out of the US open after losing to Australia's Millman, but don't count him out for good just yet.

Shaquem Griffin, dispite having only 1 hand, has led the Seattle Seahawks in tackles during the pre-season.  He also ran faster than any other linebacker in the 40 yard dash.  So despite what could be a boring Seahawks season, the story of Shaquem Griffin could be a bright spot.

How is the talent pool looking for the Canucks?  A lot of the prospects will be up in Penticton for the young stars event and they will showcase their talent.  And one guy who should be watched is Olli Juolevi.

Why would the Green Bay Packers give Aaron Rogers the largest contract extension in history?  He's 44 years old, a 13 year veteran QB, and he broke his collarbone last season.

The Odlum Brown Vancouver Open is in full swing and last night Genie Bouchard won her first match!  Bouchard may not be at the top of her game, as she was 4 years ago at Wimbledon, but she had a packed house during her match yesterday.
