Last season the Golden Knights were true to the town they play in. Teams were leaving Las Vegas with the same look most gamblers have when their junkets come to an end. For other teams what happened was a lot of losing, and what stayed in Vegas was their money.

The Vancouver Canucks aren't the only local team going through a transition phase.  Next year the BC lions and the Whitecaps will join the Canucks in reorganizing and filling their rosters.

How could you not laugh at the Faux outrage that happened in Vegas after UFC 229.  A champion fighter lept from the cage and went after his opponents buddy who had been chirping him from the side of the cage.  People watch the UFC for the fights!  This past weekend they got an extra one for the same price!

The Canucks win over Calgary yesterday was a hope game...Meaning we all hope that this kind of play will continue through the season!  And there are good things to take away from the game...but don't go to crazy thinking that this one game is any indication of what's to come.

Instead of going with one "C" on a jersey, they decided to go with 4 "A's".  Hockey is rare in the sporting world when it comes to team captains.  There is much more focus on assigning a captain.  But does having a captain on the ice make any difference in the way a team plays?

If you look at the big picture for the Canucks,  Being a terrible team this season is actually a desireable outcome.  Especially if the Canucks got lucky with the draft.

After a loss to the Hamilton Tiger Cats, the BC Lions are going to have a harder climb to playoff contention.

There were no surprises yesterday when the Canucks sent 3 of their younger players to the minors.  One of those players was Brendan Gaunce, who despite a great work ethic...doesn't score goals.

The exhibition season is almost over and we are less than a week away from the Canucks playing games that actually count.  But, when the regular season finally starts next Wednesday against the Calgary Flames, you might be dissapointed by the roster.

Yesterday, Carl Robinson was let go as head coach of the Whitecaps.  Most people weren't surprised by the firing, as many thought if the Whitecaps didn't make the playoffs he'd be gone.  What did surprise a few was the timing of the firing.

The doomsday clock is getting close to ticking for the Whitecaps.  Their playoff hopes are fading.  They aren't technically out yet, but even if they manage to sneak into the post season...chances are they won't make it very far.

What would the odds have been if you were betting that the Clevland Browns and Tiger Woods would be winners the same week.  You could have retired on the proceeds of such a bet.  While bother are winners,  Tiger Woods is the bigger achievement as he overcame incredible injuries to get back to being a winning golfer.

The BC Lions go into their game against Hamilton with Jonathan Jennings as the starting quarterback.  If this was 2016, nobody would be worried.  But it's not 2016 so maybe we should be.

There is a good chance that every NHL team owner was happy the Las Vegas Golden Knights did not win the Stanley Cup in their first season as an NHL team.  Having a new team come in and go all the way to the top would lead to a lot of questions about management and rebuilding teams.  But the Vegas Knights made a good run which leads to the question "is there fears from owners that they could make i...

It's the first pre-season game so lets not get too critical on the play.  Vancouver lost, lets not worry about the score, but the big story of the night was the new swede who made his debut, and he looked great.

NHL Training camps used to last for weeks, but now, players are in such great shape that they get a week of camp and then they are on the ice and playing exhibition games.  The Canucks hit the ice with some young talent this year and Squire breaks down some of the news faces you will see this exhibition season.

Travis Lulay seems to be stuck in a loop when it comes to injuries and games against the Montreal Allouettes.  He's been injured 4 times in games against the Allouettes.

If you're a fan of the Ottawa Senators, you probably hate the managment but love Erik Karlsson.  Even before Karlsson was traded the management was hated.  Now after the star player has been traded to San Jose,  you probably couldn't find a more hated group of people in the NHL (Bettman excluded).

The Canucks training camp starts soon and they are going to be without a Captain.  But that's okay.  A hockey team doesn't always need a captain in order to win big.

Yesterday, The people wanting Calgary to bid on the 2026 Winter Olympics released the price tag for hosting the event.  Over 5 Billion dollars is the estimate, and you can be sure it'll cost more than that when all is said and done.  So why do Cities still bid on these events when the bulk of the cost is footed by the taxpayer?

One of the series contenders for the Super Bowl this season is the Rams.  The Rams have talent all over the feild but their quarterback is going to be the key.

So much happend over the weekend.  There could be a new swedish duo in Vancouver, The BC lions saved their season with a win, Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers earned his large salary & Serena Williams shows us the double standards in tennis.

"Must Win" is a term that is used way too much in sports.  It should really only be used during the playoffs or late in the season.  But today, Squire pulls out the term for the game between the BC Lions and Ottawa RedBlacks, and explains why it's a "Must Win" for the Lioins.

The NFL starts tonight and that means a lot of money is going to be put on the line.  It could be as innocent as an office pool or a fantasy draft.  But to see who the true professionals are, look to the ones betting on the old fasion point spread.

One of the beautiful things about sports, is that people can have impassioned debates about everything that goes along with it.  But when Canadian's start to weigh in on matters that involve the American National Anthem...Does it go too far?
